i would say do not buy from green park, even if you do stay away from Bunty Bikewala, if you cannot then bargain to the core with him.

Both rossiter and you have made that amply clear dada
The Vega/AGV aren't light by any standards either. So, I personally am inclined to suggest a GP-One to anyone in the market for a full-faced lid with a budget of around 2 grand...

          • Looks like GP-Ones now a days are branded TORX. Look out for that.

I like my GPOne. It is heavy but damn good. Only problem is the visor. I am looking for a method to change its visor system to something better!!!

That was the chief reason for me picking the AGV. If one can procure a GP-One, im sure that'll be the best option around...
The Vega I am speaking about is ditto ditto 99% BHP Helmet. The 1% difference is for the brand name printed on it. There's everything in it - fantastic visors with a easy open mechanism, removable padding (head + cheeks), light weight (1350 grams), aerodynamic shape, good graphics, working air vents and for clearing fog, breath deflector... price - ~2700. Even the wind noise is much lesser in it than the GPOne at speeds excess of a Ton. Check it out once.

One big disadvantage of GP-One is the poor visor quality.Maybe one of the worst in the market.I need to change the visor once in every 3 months(Cost Rs150).

By 3 months it gets worse. A new one is also much inferior in front of those scratch resistant visors from Studds

It is the same piece including colour & graphics that I was speaking about a few posts earlier.

Yup, the same one. There were two options available. A gloss finish the matt finish. I got the matt finish one.

If only you'd posted this a couple of months back, i might have looked at it as an option KP
I bought a silver-black AGV a couple of months back. No issues with it actually. The visor is expensive, costs 500/- as compared to the GP-One which MG says costs 150/- in comparison.

Other than that, im very happy with it

I like the matt finish but I have noticed many times that Ravi Kiran's helmet is not visible from a distance but I can make out everyone else's helmet (even just a plain black ABS one)... during day time.

At times when there are riders ahead of you in about 500 meters to a KM, the tail lamp and helmet let's u know who that is. Now a days I identify Ravi Kiran if there's a bike going fast and I cannot see the helmet as mostly he's leading and I am following him when we ride out!

I think the Vega's visor costs Rs 350.

Yes, the plain matt one is somewhat like cameoflaged with the environment maybe thats because of the black top.

As planned i have painted my Lid in matt black color, firstly i removed all the stickering afterwards i used a 320 no. waterpaper for rubbing off the exisiting paint surface, and then subsequently applied two coats of paint.

The paint quality has came out pretty neat but a bit of uneveness can be seen on surface due to my inexperience in using can-paint. I feel after stickering the overall result will be good, intially i was thinking to get the stickering done through united graphix, but now i intend to do it on my own, i have already made few desgin for stickers.

Will post pics after the completion..
