Guys, What is the usual weight of a Helmet.
Mine weighs 1.66Kg (without camera) and I get bad neck pain when I ride my bike(with or without camera)
On the scooty I have no problems.

Can you guys recommend a lighter helmet?

I researched for hemlets and I found that HJC FG 17 is a lightweight helmet But I cannot find the weight.
AGV K1 weighs 1.55Kg but both of these are way out of my budget for now.

    I currently own SOL Metalman
Hero Honda Splendor (June 2001- Present)
    Yamaha YZF R3 (Jan 2016 - Present)
    TVS Scooty Zest 110 (Oct 2017 - Apr 2018)
    TVS Ntorq 125 (May 2018 - Apr 2019)
    KTM Duke 125 (Apr 2019 - Dec 2019)

You have a gamut of helmet manufactures these days right from MT to SMK to Steelbird to Studds to LS2 to even imported brands of your size (SMALL). I'd recommend you to check the SMK
Helmets, excellent value for money helmets closely followed by Studds and then MT and the likes.

            Hi Guys,

Needed some help on SMK helmets related to size information. My head is size L 59 cms and I had ordered a SMK twister helmet from amazon of size L.
But the problem is it seems to be tight for me especially the cheeks are getting pressed too much and removing the helmet feels like my ears are gonna tear off.

Please suggest that if this normal in SMK brand as the same L size in MT was quite good for me.
Should I go ahead and order the XL size?
But i feel it might too loose for me as the size chart says size XL is for 61 cm head size. I am confused now

If anyone using the same brand or has any insight on this then it would be of great help.

            Thank you

There are no helmets with a small shell size in that price.
As mentioned above, you can get a small size fit, but the shell size remains the same.

I assume he asked about small shell size and not small fitment size.

Mine was ultra tight like this initially, i can even speak but it gets comfortable with usage. I use size s.

MEP, that's exactly the reason I opened up the gamut to him. Just so he is all the more informed and makes an informed choice. Tons of lids out there, each with different shell types (moulds) and sizes. So, this should just help him in the process.

The head shape of SMK and MT are different, it seems the SMK you ordered is intermediate oval shaped.

The cons of this size are that the cheeks will pain for a few days. But the benefit is that the helmet paddings doesn't go lose very soon.

But always remember to buy the correct head shape, in my opinion.

In short I'd suggest you XL. As Inderjeet and MEP said, it's super snug and depending on the shell design it can have pressure points. These lids almost choke you from the cheek inside (gives you that Marc and Jorge feel ) but if you have some cheek flesh like I do, then it's a little tight fit in there until it beds in. Mine took a good 2 months just to make sure I remove it easily, but it still compresses my cheeks and chewing on a bubblegum is a nightmare. Oh my! And your hair that's a mess each time.

                      Cheers!

Ya I missed out on the hair part totally.. I am sure everytime I remove the helmet, hair is gonaa get broken or pulled apart and become messy.

Putting on is ok but removing is a heavy task.
Will put for replacement with the XL size.

Thank you for all your inputs 👍👍

You see those Matt silver plastic vents and deflector on top. They have sharply designed.

That color was chipping out from the corners as i get out of the shop and ride merely 15kms
                            Update.

                            Detailed pics are as below.

See these plastic vent parts and how they lose colour.

Inside is pathetic. Huge cuts and open spaces.

See this plastic part at ear pocket location. Not a good idea and it hurts if you're on long run and that part is touching your ears.

                            Easily get scratched.

Visor getting damaged due to rubber gasket.

                            Verdict -
You're paying 11000 for such pathetic carbon crap for no reason.
