On the PRS site, the sparx helmets come with a 5 year warranty and some Crash Helmet Program. Do the Orion guys offer it? And whats that Crash Helmet Program?

              • Bad experience with Megha's, Bangalore

After following all the threads and taking many suggestions from the forum i went to buy a good helmet preferably Daijya. But the Balaji's (who's the only one to have stock) quoted a high price of 4.5K and didn't even come down a bit. So directly went to Megha's as i read about him in this forum. Got hold of MPA-AGV looking decent, bargained it for 2.4K (clear visor). Then went to other shops to do some recee, the shops adjacent to Megha's are quoting 2.2K(before bargain) for the same helmet. But since there was talk abt Megha's so i trusted it and purchased one the helmet from them at 2.4K, i even told him that i came here after reading in XBHP forums.

Then comes real issues, my head size was 56-58 (M), he doesn't have helmet at this size, all he have is of size L. He tried to pass it to me telling that this my real size, they know better than me, blah, blah. He said i can come back to have smaller size if i have problems with that, so i took it.

As expected my head and neck started to pain even for a 10K drive, next day i went to him to exchange for smaller size, to my utter surprise he refused to exchange or return the money, saying the company MPA doesn't make 'M' size helmets. Here i have to mention that even the visor was a cheap one, which is not anti-fog( he claims it as anti-fog). After lot of protesting he agreed and talked with company dealer to get me 'M' size and asked me to wait for 10 days.

That guy even after 20 days and after making me to run to his shop thrice, didn't get the helmet. After some more days he called me saying he got my helmet, when i went to collect it, to my surprise it was same old 'L' size helmet, with a different n' tight padding. When i protested he said that this is of size 'M' (even though i showed him the signs of old 'L' helmet), by that time i was f#$@%@^ tired n' irritated of him, so i came back with the helmet. Since i don't have another helmet i am using that helmet daily, experiencing pain on head (b'cas of oversize) and when i travel at night n' early morning the bloody visor is full of fog . Not a day has passed for me without cursing the Megha's.

This was my bad experience with Megha's .
So, next time you go there be careful and talk to ppl before going there and don't go by what he says.

Guys, plz help in getting an anti-fog visor for my MPA-AGV helmet, where can i get a good one in bangalore.
And can i get Daijya for 3.5K anywhere in b'lore.

I have several friends and relatives in States. The only thing that's stopping me from buying a rebel is the size factor. The 600mm by Studds is a perfect fit for me. I don't know which size will be perfect in case of a SparX. I mean, I know about the size chart and all. But what if I bring one and then I see that it's not fitting properly.
                        What do you say bro??

see if it a medium size helmet for example... then if it fits u best then fine .... if its loose... then u can go for large padding.....
if tight..u cannot... i mean *cannot* use small padding
maintain this funda for almost any helmet........

studds ka fitting i alwaz found dicey yaaar... esp for sparx its best u try them on smwhere n then buy... kbc n other brands its nt much of a problem though

Companies do not make a different shell for every size. There's one or two shell sizes and the helmet size depends on the padding inside.

Cannot comment on what really happened to you but on the positive side maybe he really got the M size padding inside your L size lid. For most helmets M & L have the same shell and the stickers are placed based on teh padding that goes into it.

Initially i too thought the same way, but later i found out that companies do make shells of different sizes. Vega has got helmets of size-M, when i tried one of them (size-M), it was perfect for my head, no pain on the head or neck. Even though u change the padding ultimately the fitness of the paddng will reduce after a few days and again the helmet starts to rest wholly on the head (at a single point on the head).

                              • @enigma_ahmd - That was a bad experience man. If its any consolation, even my MPA AGV is fogging up in this Bangalore climate. I have to be careful while riding lest I fog it up really fast.

Also, forgive me for asking but why did you go to Megha's to pay 200 bucks more ? Anyways, here's hoping others learn from this incident - guys please dont but helmets that arent your size. Ive seen so many people riding around with those cheap lids that can barely cover their faces.
