Hey Anirudh, the pics of the helmet jadhav had posted was of an 'Indian' MPA AGV, which usually retails for between 2 - 2.5 k. Its from their Pacific range, you can see the box with the word 'Pacific' in the background in the 3rd pic. I too have a helmet from the same range which I picked up for 2.1 k. The 'actual international' AGV's cost upwards of 7.5 as we all know.

I mean technically we all are as crash prone directly\indirectly, due to our mistakes or any others whenever we are on road! So why take a chance!!!

                1) My average speed daily on my enticer ranges from 20-80kph not more than that...on high way i don't push enticer more than 70-80. Gives me decent average too of 45kmpl

                2) On weekend my average speed on R15 starts from 60-135kmph hence i made two different preferrence for lids

I agree to you Satyen...what u say is right but you really can't do much when ur head in beneath the mamoth truck tyre. anyway thats' out of point but
i had a crash both at 30kmph this was 4yrs back when i was working for AIG.

My enticer was completely under the BEST--i was standing and watching my bike getting crushed under those wheels infact--the bike never came out people pulled it out in two pieces. and i didt' had a single scratch on me..i left the bike and jumped before the impact.

My another big crash with R15 at 115kmph divagar...was almost fatal once again a trailor

both the times i was wearing cheap sasta helmet both the times my face was completely protected. so it's not just the lid it's ur presence of ur mind also ur reflexes during that very moment. which can save ur life.

When you fall, you fall ... plain and simple... our body is just not designed as cats to fall on our legs....!

With whatever kind of presence of mind or skills or anything.... the fact remains that you cannot control the way you fall 100%

Regarding your past fact, your were plain lucky man... why chance your head for that luck again!

The problem with the cheapo helmets are that they 'look' fine but they lack a lot of small design elements which actually helps at a time of a crash!

                            • Nice discussion here-I use the Studds Ninja 2G for daily use&the Vega high end for touring. For gully riding I have a Studds half face.
