Hey guys,
How do you keep the helmet visors glare free. If I wash it with a wet towel (thoroughly) I find that the glare is increased. Just clarifying what I mean by glare, A light gets converted into a X of light on the visor. Thats the best I can do. I hope you guys understand.
Are there like permanently glare free visors. Which helmets would have these by default?
What I do is apply a very thin coat of polishing wax on the visor, the one I wax my bike with. This seems to allow the light to pass through without creating any glares and is very easy to wipe off the dust after a ride. I do this once a week and it stays clear enough to ride in the nights easily.
I got an MPA AGV 6months back near JC road (first shop to the left of the signal after Madhu's tyres) , prices of clear/tinted visor is around 450 bucks as mentioned by the dealer.
I am not a big fan of tinted visor, so cant comment on that
Thanks man, I too dont like tinted visors but if they can be easily switched, it would make life easier.
AVOID
the quality is no where near the older GP-One's
click on my pics and see the difference
which replica?
can make out Troy Corser and Vale? what about Arai and HJC?
No plans to buy another helmet man. I already have an old GP One in addition to my current MPA AGV. Was curious to know what price GP Ones are going for nowadays.
Could anyone suggest me a better helmet out of LS2 and Vega. The salesman said the Vega is imported from Brazil and the LS2 is imported from Korea.
I am looking the helmet for my Blue R15.
The available LS2 models are in matte finish and that too not in blue shades.
Vega looks pretty good, but it doesn't seems to be imported from Brazil. The Graphics can be matched with R15 blue.
Final price offered for LS2: Rs.3500/-
Final price offered for Vega: Rs.3500/-
Please suggest me your opinions, out of LS2 and Vega, which is stylish and safer.
Now the problem is, i find it really tight, hurts my ear while putting it on or removing it, the shop keeper said the sponge may compress and become bigger in few days. yet to see it it'll happen.
And more importantly, my parents feel its very heavy.
My previous helmet used to be 200grams lighter and still cause occasional neck pain.
I dont know the exact weight of this helmet.
Could any boolean users tell me if its 1200 or 1400grams or more ??
Should i keep this helmet or exchange it for something else ??
What are the average weights of agv,mpa and index..?

May be i am lil late, but bought a vega blue(They call it the Eye model) for my friend and it costed him just 2700. so better bargain, and the dealer might come down.

Yes you are late. I got the same vega for Rs.3000/- from Helmet Paradise. May be others can be aware of this.
Can anyone tell me where to get visor tear-offs from? The problem is, I like having a clear visor but during the morning-noon time, the sun keeps frying my face and I want to have a shaded tear off.
I got a local helmet so no tear off hooks/clips on it
Is my questing being ignored by the experts here??
@thefalcon: A new lid is always a little too tight for the liking. However, once it "takes shape", it will become much more comfortable and will be a snug fit. If you find weight to be an issue, then you can try and get a lighter helmet, although I won't really be able to help you with a specific model, as such.
P.S: Thank your lucky stars you don't use a GP-One! It's more than 1.4kgs in weight and I have been using it since almost the past couple of years. It is time to "upgrade" now.
I have a GP-R and its a very comfortable helmet i picked up from Mahalakshmi Store in delhi.
Are they safe ?
I would not like it much if i go into coma because of a helmet i thought was nice
