Yes, helmets abroad are hell cheap
Most of the models that are sold there are not even available in India

      • @Omi: Ofcourse, an extra visor can be bought along with the lid. Most websites give you the option to purchase visors along with the lid, so that both can be shipped together. But, you would need to pay for the extra visor, mind you! Ask your brother to just bring it along with the helmet! As simple as that.

However, please be one hundred percent sure about the size, as that can be THE biggest issue of it all! Read Sheel's post above; he has first hand experience in ordering the wrong size.

Imagine my face when the helmet landed up at my place,
the round face suddenly became long and was sulking...

So the size can be the killer

Yea but even wrong size wont go waste
If it may not fit you can anytime sell it making profit :P (But a bad idea)

            • @Sheel: I can imagine how it must have felt. Ordering a dream lid, waiting for it to arrive and then finding that it's the wrong fit!

              @Omi: Just be absolutely sure.

                hey guys..
I bought this helmet for around 900rs here at Chandigarh.. What i feel about this helmet is that its light weight , very comfortable , but after I attain a speed of 100+ it starts moving.. what i think is due to the pressure of wind and its cap like style it opposes the wind starts to move my head.. My head starts bend to one side and I cant keep it straight.. What do you think why this happens ?

You cannot touch me, you would not dare
I am the chill that's in the air

Looks are secondary the primary thing is that it should be Well ventilated
In Nagpur the temperatures are 48-49*C, and my head is getting cooked in a
Vega helm(the best I could find here)

I was also thinking of getting a KCB from USA from my brother
Will it be possible for him to bring it to India with him?
                  GMAX GM68S

I feel it looks terrible, but it was voted one of Web Bike Worlds top helmets of 2007. Aparently it's got mind blowing ventilation.

                    Thanks for the Input

The helmet is nice except the LED's(it looks overdone because of them), rest i am OK with the overall look

Hope i see this in close outs coz currently my budget is limited to 3.5K and the cost of this helmet goes to 5k+

If by ANY chance i get it below 3.5k i will buy it

                    • Guys, how many of us know that STUDDS has launched a new international range helmet for Rs 4200 - with extra bikini tinted visor inside the helmet?

It is called STUDDS Scorpion. Ditto copy of a Cross helmet our friend has posted here - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/316906-post2791.html . The Studds comes in two different graphics - two colours.

Discount should be available and we can pick it up for between 3.5 to 4K. Will post more details soon. Speaking to a dealer now.

Machine Crafted ABS, High Quality removable inner lining, Silicon Hard-coated scratch resistant clip mounting visor, retractable tinted inner visor, 1650 grams weight, designer graphics, ISI Certified, replacement visor costs Rs 255... all this sounds pretty good.

                      Photos attached. Enjoy.

                      ------------
Referring to a few posts above about the weight of GPOne and MPA AGV helmets, I was thinking the GPOne was the heaviest until I tried both GPOne and MPA AGV one after another.

The guy who has the MPA AGV tried my GPOne first and said it fits well and weighs less than his helmet. I ridiculed him saying the AGV could not weigh more than the GPOne. But to our surprise, both were equally heavy. The MPA AGV has a lot of weight on the front side and that makes it feel heavier than it actually is. GPOne's weight is felt at the middle. Either way - both are heavies than most offerings available to us in the market.

                      • Do not buy the GP-One anymore now
                        why?

Saw some but was not much interested in them. As such, the padding quality of Studds has been very good ever since. I have used 3 Studds helmets so far - they've been worth the money I paid for. Specially the newer ones with silicon hard coated visors...
