Good find KP! Now I know why you were asking me for my size the other day!
Anyways, don't you think this is priced a bit too high as I'm assuming its a competition for Vega Boolean?
How was the fitting inside? I'm assuming it will be excellent.
Anymore high end models expected from Studds? Where did you find this in Hyderabad?
Why don't you ask some dealer to mail the company to update their website? They don't even have the 2 year old Marshall or the Ninja 2G/3G on their website!
Now, lemme ask you the golden question-how would you compare this with the recently launched Vega Shadow/LS2 which are also in the same price range?

Considering the price at which we bought the Cross, it was a little expensive. But then, the Cross was plain and this one has graphics. The difference is justifiable. We can again get a discount from the store that gets the price equal to the Cross. But the Studds being Indian brand we expect the cost to be a bit lower - helping us buy the Studds here instead of looking at imported options.

I spoke to the main distributor in Hyd and he's expecting the stock in Hyd and he doesn't know many details apart from model name & price. I spoke to a dealer in Delhi who had this published in eBay.in

The Vega Boolean's competition is Studds Ninja 2G at the max. The Ninja 3G is far ahead. This Scorpion is another two steps ahead of what we have seen from Indian makers.

Which one is the Vega Shadow? The one you have that we all like unanimously? Not just that, the Cross's (the particular model only) lining was better than the Vega you have, the newer Vega imported models and even the LS2. All of them and the other Cross Helmets are in similar league. The MPA AGV's in the market now don't have lining even comparable to the models mentioned above. The older ones were better.

Having seen Sagar's Cross, which had better inner material than every other Cross & LS2 helmets I have seen, and coming from Studds, my expectations for inner lining is high. Even the shop wala was telling that the lining is better than GPOne's he sold a few years back. That's a good sign. I have tried Sagar's Cross for a ride from Minister road till my place - at least 30-40 mins and tried speeds upto 110 KMPH. I felt it to be good. I can bet my money on that.

Will help to see a photo of Vega Shadow. Can say if I've seen them or not.

2) Studds Chrome (Full Face, Unpainted shell, chrome visor. Rs 725, seems great value with a clip on kind of scratch resistant visor)

No, not mine-this is being called Blue Eye or something. I've seen many cross lids at Pune ProBiker&really felt they are VFM, with eye catching styling. Too bad we don't get all that range here.

I saw these helmets in Abids. Middle shop in cellar beside Vishal Super Market.

These, according to them, are the new Vega's that are replacing the ones you have. But the best price quoted after a lot of bargain was Rs 4200. Down from Rs 4500. LS2's were quoted at Rs 3700 last. This helmet's lining is better than the one you have. Similar to the LS2. But by a small margin. You can almost call them the same unless they act differently after some usage. Even the Cross helmets felt similar. I would prefer Sagar's Cross helmet over this one both because of better comfort and lower price.

Yeah, prices here are very high-the same Vega&LS2 are available for around Rs.3K in Pune/other cities.

Guys, how many of us know that STUDDS has launched a new international range helmet for Rs 4200 - with extra bikini tinted visor inside the helmet?

Referring to a few posts above about the weight of GPOne and MPA AGV helmets, I was thinking the GPOne was the heaviest until I tried both GPOne and MPA AGV one after another.

The guy who has the MPA AGV tried my GPOne first and said it fits well and weighs less than his helmet. I ridiculed him saying the AGV could not weigh more than the GPOne. But to our surprise, both were equally heavy. The MPA AGV has a lot of weight on the front side and that makes it feel heavier than it actually is. GPOne's weight is felt at the middle. Either way - both are heavies than most offerings available to us in the market.

Only two issues in this one thing same helmet coming by cross is approved by E.C.E standard & studds have print only isi mark. second thing inner eye wear by cross in mercury coated & in studds they r plain black which look bit cheap. i dont think so any company will print isi mark if the helmet is approved by E.C.E mark?

I cant understand why there is somuch difference in price of the same helmet, in Delhi LS2 is quoted 3400 which can be bought for 3000-3200 easily.

Yes mate, I forgot to mention the silver tint inner visor in Cross. That would have been lovely as compared to the dark visor in the Studds.

About the ISI & ECE, if they are selling in India they HAVE TO mark with ISI. That's not an issue.

Also, when calculating your shipping, keep in mind that the helmet might weigh 2kg but the volumetric weight is considered and shipping charged according to that. My kbc volumetric weight was 5.95 kg.

Yup. Shipping it from the US only makes sense if the closeout price is dirt cheap. My kbc soul reaper was at 52$. shipping+duty+tax came to another 82$

Roughly 5.9k but one thing is there. The kbc helmets in delhi area are sourced through HK/China/Thailand. The US always has the best quality stuff and no concerns about the genuineness of the product:-)
