Agreed that flip-up looks and feels same as a full face when closed. But during the instance of an impact the way flip-up and full face respond is different. The impact absorption and methodical crumbling capabilities of a full face is better and ideal compared to a flip-up...although these differences would come in to light only in worst case scenarios. ie; a bad head banging crash. But said all that, no amount of protection is too much for our precious head right?

Try Ninja Studds or Vega. They both are full face and not those protruding types (Motocross) and flip ups.Originally posted by Huzee View Postfor a range of 1500 to 2500, which helmet would u guys suggest for me ??? I do not want a full face protruding type of helmt thoughMy thoughts...

Mercury visor is nothing but the chrome / silver colour visor. It reflects sun light and saves your eyes & skin from heat. Does that better than than the dark tint visors. At the same time, it doesn't make the visibility very dark.
It is not recommended to use the mercury visor at night. But it is used my some people as it is still good enough for night. It would be like you are on mild sun glasses - you can see things but at lower visibility.

hey guys...
i had purchased a Vega Shadow around 3 months back from Rainbow Helmets, Chennai. And in the course of events, the visor ended up getting scratched like hell..
So, I went to Rainbow again, and they told me that since it was a new model, they didn't have the visor in stock and told me to return in a week... I did so in a week, and the week after that, and the week again but never a solid response.
Does anyone know any dealers in Chennai or Bangalore that would surely have the visor without telling me to return in a week??!!
would totally appreciate..
Thanx..

Try the helmet shops on GP Rd. There are a few at the beginning of the road which are quite well-stocked and also towards the end of the road as it winds down to join Mount Rd. on the left side. I picked up my AGV from one of those and they seemed to be quite professional. Good Luck !

This helmet is available here in chennai for 2.8 k without bargain and after bargain, for 2.6k in cash. I think better bargainers can get it still cheapOriginally posted by HydBiker View PostReferring to Jacob's post a few pages back, I got this image:

I saw these helmets in Abids. Middle shop in cellar beside Vishal Super Market.
These, according to them, are the new Vega's that are replacing the ones you have. But the best price quoted after a lot of bargain was Rs 4200. Down from Rs 4500. LS2's were quoted at Rs 3700 last. This helmet's lining is better than the one you have. Similar to the LS2. But by a small margin. You can almost call them the same unless they act differently after some usage. Even the Cross helmets felt similar. I would prefer Sagar's Cross helmet over this one both because of better comfort and lower price.
As per the company, it is the Vikash Agencies something that is opposite to Shah Automobiles in RamKote.
