i am talking about the same lid, me and simba_smiles were there and looking at it we both were apprehensive and with good reason,

I have got a sparx and i know it isn't a great lid, nor is KBC,
frankly i am yet to see a GP rider sporting these brands

India is yet to see some good lids, i liked Joe Rocket and could afford it if i wouldn't had blown away ~25k as fare
    may be next time

    • Then All the helmets avaibale in Indian market are fake?those worn by GP riders are original.Do you think a person with a 57k bike will buy a helmet of Rs 25k?

RST is a brit riding gear maker. They make all types of riding gears, from gloves, to jackets to helmets.

Mine is called RST Carbon star Chrome. Its a full race spec carbon fiber lid. totally worth every penny spent on it.

Its a Dainese D-dry, got it for 6kish price. Not sure if its original. But its very good. Its completely waterproof, I wear it everytime i get on my bike, even when riding to Market , been using it Daily Since last 2yrs and Its still going strong. Used a LOT in rains and water never got inside the jacket. Had a few minor spills wearing this Jacket and it served its purpose really well.

                        • Now Regarding Fake Lids what can we say we are India bound to be there. Now though Chopra is one of the oldest and does stock Good lids they stock Thai ones too.

Now you heard of Caveat Emptor(let the Buyer Beware) This is still a case in India unlike abroad.

But sometimes I prefer to buy lids from Showrooms itself may not have many options are may not be fancy but atleast can count a little bit on quality.

Overall we still have to be the ones Who will have to be careful in choosing lids. A ISI or DOT or any other Certified can help but in India when people don't spare the pharma industry selling expired Meds what can we say about Lids

                            Yes,
this is where i bought my riding gears from, so in whole of India you just have one store which sells authentic stuff and so they charge a premium
