Hey guys, i did some mods for my vega boolean.
The other day while removing the padding to wash it, i realized that vega people had actually drilled holes in the thermocol around those top air vents but they drilled it only halfway so the air vents were useless.. (poor finish quality by vega)
Anyway i took a light duty drill and completed the job.
I even tested it by wearing the helmet and using a vacuum cleaner on blower mode at the vents.. could feel the air flow
In the first pic, i first poked 4 needles from the front and back of the vents through the thermocol and marked the 4 points where they emerged inside.
Since the company drilled holes were little off, i took the halfway mark of those holes and took a detour to the mid point of the 2 points
In the second pic, could anyone explain why the thermocol is split in the bottom back part of the helmet ?? is this a flaw only with my helmet by any chance ?

Protective foam from helmet detached!
Hi all.
I have a Vega Eclipse 3/4th helmet. I wanted to wash its paddings so I removed the two pieces that cushion the cheeks and the padding that goes around the lower part of the head. I then noticed that the protective foam inside was loose - it moved at the tap of a finger. The cloth lining the inner upper part of the helmet was also coming unstuck. With a little effort, I managed to remove the foam completely from the helmet
.
Attaching an image of the piece.
I applied Fevicol to the foam and have put it back in, but my confidence in the helmet is gone. Is it a fake Vega? I got it from AA Helmets in Goregaon on 20th April.
Is it OK for the foam to come off? And the inner lining? Can I continue to use it once I put it back together?2016 Suzuki Access 125 (Matte Grey)

when they could drill half, couldn't they drill it full???Originally posted by thefalcon View Posti realized that vega people had actually drilled holes in the thermocol around those top air vents but they drilled it only halfway so the air vents were useless.. (poor finish quality by vega)

You have ruined your helmet and it shall not provide ample protection in the unfortunate event of a crash resulting in severe injury/injuries
get a new helmet ASAP
^^if you still have the helmet's box, then there should be a hazard warning in a leaflet, warning the same, it isn't even recommend to sticker one's helmet.
@rvbhute-- from the pic, it isn't clear about what is wrong with the helmet or whether it is fake, sorry broLast edited by sheelpriye; 06-21-2010, 12:34 AM.
