    • Wow - a RX7, no less. How much did it set you back by?

I have an Astro TR, and planning to upgrade to a Corsair V next month!

      • Hey

I got it for NZD $1100.
was going to go for the GP one, however it was expensice by another NZ$ 500 and I dint find much of a difference in the fit and feel.
However if you are looking for a street use only helmet, have a look at new RX-Q, heard that they are quiter and developed for street use.
Pity they are not yet avalible in NZ.

The Corsair V is an update to the RX-7, so I'm looking to buy that very soon!

            NZ/OZ is expensive!

            • This helmet of mine is very comfortable & makes me feel secure ! But the problem here is when it rains or not , I cannot put the lid down because then there is not sufficient air and I don't know why I cannot judge while riding.. I actually ride 90% on Highways.. N when I don't close the lid, the air puts me in trouble.. Eyes get watery & so on..
Now what is the solution to this ?
P.S. No money to buy a new helmet !

Could you elaborate on the "not sufficient air" part ? From what I can infer, there is no air flow through the helmet (which is surprising) cause air should come in from at least the gap between your neck & the base of the helmet. It looks like there are vents on the top. See if they are working properly, sometimes they stay closed.

                • new helmet

                  hi guys,
                  today I purchased a new helmet LS2 Cartoon FF350.5.
sticker at back states ECER22-05 (i guess it is EU standard), weight is 1550+/-50 gram, but it feels a lot heavier than my studds ninja-II.
visor says it is scratch resistant; while sales guy told it is anti-glare also, which is not true.
personally i didn't like the cartoon graphic, i don't know which cartoon character it is (its some human face), but had to buy as there was not much choice in my head size. but it will be ok as overall design is good.
I bought it from Helmet Paradise, opposite Urvashi theatre, bangalore, for 3100 INR ( don't know how much any of you have bought it, he showed me receipts of 3500 INR and told that MRP is 3800 INR, so I couldn't bargain much). In addition to it i also bought an additional chrome visor for 400 INR and an Alpinestar balaclava for 380 INR.

post your comments, how much did I paid extra over regular price on all items.

                  will post the pictures tomorrow.

thanks for reading and your guidance.

Had to patiently hunt around for this one though.

BTW do any one have experience dealing with airport customs when getting their helmet or bike gears into India.

                        • There is no issue when getting riding gears into India(helmets/full leathers), unless you were trying to hit on the custom officer's daughter.

                          • I was clutching my lid (domestic) and everyone looked suspicious, but no one questioned and I wouldn't let it go with my luggage at any cost.
