as other members suggested you will get good options in vega and studds, and also cross has launched its sub-2k range.

i remember there was a studds authorised dealer near the theater (which burnt down few years ago), the shop is on the main road on the left side when you are coming to AIIMS from Hauz Khas fly-over, its a small shop, but reliable......although bargaining will be difficult as it is the only shop in that reason..... (at least it was some 3 years back).......

              • I am using a Vega Boolean. It has air whistling sound while riding. is it common to all Boolean? I am also going to buy a new helmet in 2-4k. Mostly i prefer Ls2 Phobia or Cross. I have seen Mercury visors. Is Mercury Coated visors are good in visibility for night rides? or should i got for the clear one? which Visor is coming as standard? Then in models like Cross or LS2, what about the air whistling noise ? or should i use ear plugs?

If you need a reason to ride, you are not on the right bike.

Mirror finish mercury visors are good at night when there is reasonable lighting. Dont know how it fares in pitch darkness. To be on the safe side, i'll advice you to get a clear visor too when you are buying LS2/Cross (which generally come with the mercury visor). LS2s and Cross generally do not have whistling sound.

                  • Thanks Lijo.. Going to buy one this week itself. Dont know Sabu has enough stock. I think Ls2 is good.. It is a Spanish Brand. RIght? What is the origin of cross helmets?
