Bought a white colored Cross helmet in oct'10 for Rs.2200/-. Its already turned yellow despite scant use. Also, the transparent lacquer coating is peeling off too. Has anyone else faced this issue?

@Soumen:LS2 is not Vega's creation. They are just importing it to India.

leaving Dragon and matte aside all the other ones are imported . Sold and marketed under LS2 brand name and not the Vega !

The LS2 dragon models are made by made or marketted by Vega in India. They come with a cheap looking button strap (can't understand how ppl use that strap)

The other models are a lil more expensive and are made by LS2 in China

Are you referring to Double-D Rings with the plastic button the end?

I have an 8 month old LS2 helmet....not sure if it's the Dragon model, but it has Double-D Rings. This is the norm in most International Helmets.

I don’t want to go for any argument any more but the terms ‘Imported’ and ‘Marketed by’ are far different. Say the Kawasaki Ninja 250 you got, so if you need to claim you cant claim to Kawasaki directly, you’ve to claim Bajaj and they will take care where as the product is still from Kawasaki. Because the bike is not imported, its marketed and sold by Bajaj India.
It means if you’re actually buying the Imported one then forget about the warranty or calming stuffs.

there is actually nothing in the term "warranty" when it comes to helmets !
and as i said leaving aside Dragon and Matte LS 2 all the other models are not available in any Vega website as such.
Do you think these guys which are selling LS2's in India have actually taken a franchisee or something of the brand itself. AFAIK they haven't !
there are Vega authorized dealers but where are the LS2's authorized dealers in India , those who are get the stuff replaced from their own pocket !
or do they send back the helmets to China ?
Where the heck is warranty in these helmets ?

And brother i know the meaning of the terms 'imported' and 'marketed by'.... and if thats the case then i presume you are telling me that i can claim warranty on my helmet (LS2) through any of the Vega authorized dealers ?

That's a nice looking lid although 2.2k i think it's a little too much as i've seen the same one here in Coimby for 1.7k

Guys are replacement cheek pads available for cross or ls2 ? I bought a Cross helmet recently for 3.1k and the cheek pads are loose also should i stock a spare visor now or will they be available after a 6-8 months.

Conrad - love your Crutchlow edition Arai! Congrats - that is money well spent.

Do you have a Pinlock visor? It appears that this is a Euro or Asian edition. The US version is called the Corsair V. Same helmet though the head shape might be different.
