• Hello All,

I read somewhere in the start of the thread about genuineness of Daijya brand helmets and doubts about it being from Marushin. Well I alsoi shot a mail at them and they denied the ownership of Daijya.

In the start post ( I dont remember on which page but in this thread itself ) as per the mail marushin was going to start distribution in India. I asked the same gentleman named Ullrish Holzhausen who replied to that member's mail. The whole conversation is below. I have masked the email ids :

Hello Sir,

I want to know if Marushin Helmets has an authorized distributor / seller in India.

I also read online at some places that Daijya is the brand under which Marushin helmets are sold in India. Is it true ?

Please clarify and help me make a decision.

Dear Mr. Jain,
Marushin is not available in India, Daijya is a cheep copy of Marushin with
a very bad safety performance.

We appreciate that you are interested in Marushin, so we can offer you that
we deliver you the helmet from our headquarter, or you check the
web shop www.jfmotorsport.de/Marushin and order your helmet there.

Thank you for contacting us.

Dear Mr Holzhausen,

Thanks for clearing the confusion. I read a post on some forum ( which was 2 years old ) that Marushin is in process of setting up dealership and distribution in India.

If this is true when is it likely to get it in India ?

I am not at all related to snapdeal, but LS2 in 1600 is a damn good deal.
@ animeher :

thank for the info.after a lot of deliberation ,finally i got the LS2 helmet.it indeed was rs 1600 for LS2 cartoon white, unfortunately there was no other choice left.

i did a bit of research on ECE 22 regulation as well and found out that the helmets have to be batch tested.a detailed procedure and rules and requirements are give in the link provided below. those who want to know more about ECE can download the PDF file provided under regulation 22.

Regs 21-40 - Transport - UNECE

i checked the LS2 helmet and found that it does follow all the regulation laid down in regulation 22 of ECE regarding the approval markings and instructions on the helmet , visor , and straps.strap bears the E9 logo followed by approval no, production serial no. ,model no,and dimensions of the characters were exactly as prescribed in the regulation. the visor also bears the same E9 logo, model for which the particular visor is suitable. the sticker on the back is also as per the requirement of the ECE. there is no mention against use of sticker, only thing required was weight and size.

now coming to E9 here E refers to european union and 9 represents the country were the ECE certificate was issued to the helmet. 9 is for Spain, and we know LS2 is designed in Spain and made in China. i found the same designs and models in spanish websites selling motorcycle helmets, only difference was the ECE approval sticker on the back of helmet. however on searching further i found reviews of LS2 from some users based in UK and they had the same kind of stickering (that we see here) on their helmets.

so i concluded that i would not be able to tell for sure that these are fakes. it may be quite possible that the surplus production for the spanish market are diverted to the Asian market or it can also be a fake, and if its the latter one than Iam impressed by the attention to detail. i have 2 LS2 and both have same approval no ,but different production no.

in a nutshell Icannot say with conviction that these are fakes

so finally i gave the benefit of doubt to LS2 and decided to buy a LS2 coz at 1600 you are not going to get anything better than LS2 here . so changed the MPA AGV with LS2 for my pillion.PS: i bought the helmet from the same dealer from where i bought my 1st one and at almost half the price, thanks to the snapdeal offer.

however my quest for a snell 2010 helmet is still on and hope i find one that appeals to me soon and within my budget.....

Hi Guys,

Fully aware of safety implications, but looking for a classic/retro styled plain/simple design Open Face helmets. Basically to make a good match while riding my yezdi's.

Any suggestions on where to get them ? online ? anywhere in B'lore ? Most of the places on JC road have fancy AGV/LS2 full face ones and the open face ones are almost childish.

• Got LS2 helmet-Matt Black on Sunday. It very comfortable compared to my previous GPR helmet. I've not tried the helmet on highway rides to comment on air noise and comfort level for long rides.
