Planning to upgrade my current MT Mugello helmet. Friend is coming from the US in the first week of November so have to decide quick.

Was considering the Scorpion EXO R420 (SNELL certified) or the AGV K3 SV. Any other recommendations around that price point?
There are some good closeout deals on the previous Scorpion EXO R410 also..

Want something with provision for bluetooth speaker pockets and good sound isolation. Preferably not a tuck down one.

      Hi all,

I have been thinking about starting a riding gear dealership / store business (in a tier 1/2 city where there is no such store, although the biking scene has always been good). I'd be immensely grateful if an enlightened soul could help me with:

      - The risks I should look out for
      - If the growing performance biking / touring market in India is a good reason to get into this space
      - The profitability and feasibility of this business
      - Entry barriers, if any
      - any other pointers relating to becoming a dealer for any riding gear brand

      Cheers!
      Anirudh.

        below are my picks.

        Alpinestar Belize

        Forma adventure low boots

        TCX baja mid

Is there any shop here in Pune where I can check these out? my size is 11 - 11.5

I tried out local Mototech, RYO and similar brands in size 12 but none is fitting. they all are too small for my feet to get inside.

So thinking of international brands like these.

Please let me know if there is any store in Pune or Mumbai who stocks these and can get better deal here locally instead of buying online from Revzilla.com FC-moto.de or motarddin.com

        Thanks in advance.
I have the same query as well , rides an impulse too. my size is 10.5-11. check out falco mixto 2 or the aventour or gaerne gx1 off-road boot. I had checked out the forma adv high but for major offroading it isn't suggested because it is soft and flexes even though waterproof. Basically if you do more of touring than off-roads then forma would be a good choice I believe. I'm still in a dilemma. I have been in touch with teamdrivenindia and few other stores in Kochi. Just need to find a good deal for my size.
May the sun rise infront of me,
the rain fall behind me and the wind follow me.
May the angels guard my travels for they know what's ahead of me.
Keep me safe through rolling hills, swirling turns and bad roads.
Let the moon's light guide me through the night.
Lord, thank you for letting me a Biker.
        Amen.

Ride:- Hero Honda Impulse (present) , Tvs Apache RTR180(2015-17)
Gears:- Shiro SH336 Carbon Helmet || Aspida Helios Jacket || Rynox Advento Pants || TBG Sport Gloves

Yesterday only I visited TeamDriven store in Pune and there I saw Exustar touring boots for 11k which are fairly priced but compromises proper protection if compared to Gaerne G adventure boots

If you go trail riding and dont go practice or participate in any offroad enduro races then you don't want the MX boots which are rock solid.

If you're like me 40% trail 60% touring then yes it has to be forma or gaerne.

Then he suggested me to go for normal touring boots over these dual sport ones but my friends who also do offroad on race boots/ touring boots, They ended up ripping the sole apart from the boot.

So I don't want to invest my money in something like that.

Right now I'm waiting for the size 12/13 to arrive at TeamDriven store and gonna try both Exustar and Gaerne

Personally I don't like Exustar's buckle system. They are not as good as Gaerne or Forma.

So 16k for Gaerne if I end up opting that.

Literally in the same situation bro! 40-60 and I thought I was the only guy [emoji51] cheers to that! If I would invest in a touring boot I rather get a military boot or some sort of waterproof high ankle boots, doesn't put a hole in the pocket this way. Forma there are lots of good reviews. If you have the budget just go for forma or gaerne! Look for double/triple stitched soles.

About the sole being ripped apart from touring/race boots, it is very true. It happens and it happens often. Race and touring boots are just not made for that, and people end up blaming the boots instead of realising their own usage pattern.
This usage pattern is why I also recommended Gaerne for you.

              Goodluck brother. Ride safe.

Go for Orazo boots buddy. Those are way more cheaper. And pretty comfortable. Looks good. But just the thing is they are not waterproof till the ankles.
I didn't get Orazo because I already have JCB excavator boots.which are safety shoes full leather with Steel Toe, anti slip, anti shock lug sole.
And it's been 4+ years now and the leather is still wrinkle free. I abused them regularly that sole wears out but leather is still intact. And as good as new. Bought them for 1700 only from online store.

Ok....I thought I will post this here as this contributes to the safety of the rider too. I was looking for some light mode for my helmet and came across this site by sheer chance.

I had seen the original light mode site where the same design is available for $129 plus shipping charges from Canada. In Lifestore it cost me just $ 34.99 including shipping. The price has again dropped ny $10 when I checked it last night. The design is the exact same, probably these guys supply them ! !

There was one difference though. When I ordered it , the site said the battery pack / control unit was rechargeable and it comes with adhesive in the back. I got a regular control unit where I have to put 2 AA battery and it came with a clip. So now I have to figure out to fix it to the helmet. The LED strip and the control unit is supposed to be waterproof which I will have to test in the rain.

The item came after 26 days after ordering ( tracking is available) . I will mount it today or tomorrow and put a video.

Though Aspida Odysseus is used for recent Dominar Trans Siberian tour. Yes it was sponsored but you can see the quality there.

Check them out wear both. Feel it and then decide.
