These aren't the original ones .. the original ones cost 2.5-3k+ ... But I feel they are ok for intra-city rides .. cost around Rs. 750 and I got them from A A Helmets, D. N. Nagar, Andheri (West), Bombay.Originally posted by RISHIS View PostAlways assume the other guy will mess up - Ride Defensively!

I do. Its a 'stare' magnet. They attract both the 'wow' and 'wtf' kind of stare. Anyway I've learned to live with it. Though I don't wear them when I ride out in the neighbourhood.Originally posted by rkakkar View PostAnyone wear knee pads in the city (Bombay or elsewhere)? First impression Orazo Coot
Hi guys.. Got a pair of Orazo Coot today, which was ordered on 3rd this month. I ordered the basic Black one. Cost INR 1600 including shipping. As per their suggestion i made sure my size was 7 which was checked from a Bata showroom. I was using a Woodland shoe of size 6. But i think this a little higher in size. Steel toed one like safety shoes. I think it is more of a safety shoe than a riding boot, But i think its enough for the price we give. And about the looks. I really didn't like it. Looks like a Charlie Chaplin one.( Juz my opinion).
Anyway.. i didn't ago for a ride with that. i will post a detailed review after that.Last edited by ezy_rider; 09-16-2010, 11:09 PM.If you need a reason to ride, you are not on the right bike.

Guys... using knee pads above the jeans is eye catching as we said before. But why cant we wear inside the pants. I mean, if we wear a very comfortable Cargos and by that we can wear our Knee protectors inside. Right. I checked Draggin jeans which has a Kevlar lining inside. But it's price is quite a bomb above 260 USD. So. I think wearing a Cargos which is made of much hard textiles and wearing knee pads iside is a good option.
What do you people think? If you need a reason to ride, you are not on the right bike.

the quality of leather is outstanding, has a rainproof detachable liner inside, those tribal embroidery gives it a classy look.
i plan to buy protectors, as the jacket doesn't have any.

I don't understand how the official Yamaha jacket came without CE approved protectors?
Anyways, now that you have got it, I suggest you get yourself normal knee+elbow protectors&wear them inside the jacket on touring. On cold days in city you can wear the jacket as it is.
If you are looking for full upper body torso armor, then maybe something like this:
The elbow&knee protectors are here too on the same page. The elbow is semi bionic&knee is bionic.
If you have a higher budget, you could go for Alpine Stars bionic/non bionic protectors.
If your budget is lower than Cramster, try for FOX-you can get a set of elbow+knee guards for 1-1.2K, depending on the place. But they will both be non bionic.
PM me if you are getting confused!Quench my thirst with gasoline!

I already got a Speed and Strength Twist of Fate Textile jacket for myself ... its still in the US ... it got delivered within 3 days post order and it looks super sexy to me. You can get only Scoyco here in india for 50 USD [or may be not even scoyco] whereas all other brands would cost in the range 4.5 - 5k INR.Originally posted by theanand View Posthello everyone,

and the stuff you get outside is of top notch quality and just because you are getting it for $ 50 (exc. shipping) does not mean that the jacket is not good... FYI it has C.E approved elbow and shoulder protector and a solid back protector as well. The real price of the jacket on Speed and Strength official website is $ 200 and we are getting a 75% discount on it on various websites.
here is the link :
Speed and Strength - Motorcycle Apparel - Twist of Fate Textile Jacket
and if incase you are confused regarding this jacket .... then hold on because i am getting one on Monday ... so ill definitely post a complete review of it.

the jacket has nothing except a liner.
I'll wait for some time and extend my budget for alpinestars bionic knee pads, but i am confused about torso.
i feel its too much to go inside the leather jacket.
should i get a new jacket instead?
i personally don't like DSG and CRAMSTER jackets.
its not that they are bad, but i am more of a leather loving guy...Giving a lot to a fiero.
