Thanks for your inputs VJ but i was hoping some other kind of jackets not necessarily with protection and all just want one more vented layer.
Actually wished to know what other riders are wearing are all of them wearing regular riding jackets to commute ?

All the riding jackets are heavy my nero without the liners too is pretty heavy.
It depends, some wear and some don't but most of them do wear full fledged jacket with armors, nothing as such the jacket alone without armors for pure ventilation.

Most jackets have significant weight component to it, but that's a given with armors inside. Try using your jacket with liners removed, you'll get used to it.

    Cheers!

    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Alpinestar T GP plus I am getting from DSG for 9000 and one with water liner is 12000

In cramster eclipse I have thermal removable and inbuilt water liner and build quality also looks good but I want to have some opinion from some birds which may be using the Alpine star or cramster

If you're planning to spend so much on a jacket, it'd be a wise decision to get an all weather jacket. I'd suggest you try from Spartan Helios, Cramster Eclipse, Cramster Breezer DSG NERO, and then so many other brands here and abroad. Listed in terms of quality.

Now Spartan offers best in class stuff at affordable range, you can get all three season liners for a price of 7500 max with approved armors, and I'd suggest you go for it. Also do check their ICARUS, ACHILLES, CHRONOS etc etc. All these are really good jackets, but they suited for specific needs.

But I'd suggest you look at something for leather, as you've mentioned "you've used a textile jacket"

            Upgrade to leather.

            Cheers!

Great. Cramster Eclipse is by far the most affordable jacket when it comes to leather and the areas the leathers cover based on surface area and also doubles as an all weather jacket.

                Cheers!

Hyperion is a good choice when compared to the A* TGP
I had got myself the spartan and my options were a* and spartan. Chose spartan for the VFM factor and it turned out pretty well for me. It is kinda perfect for the summer and searing heat. Haven't got chance to check its use in winter or rainy conditions though. But it does come with a rain liner and an extra winter liner can be bought. But the rain liner should suffice as both winter and rain liner unless you live up north where the winters can be really brutal.

                  Cheers

Just remember the summer too while recommending.

I do have dsg nero but thats not for commuting.
Office shirt should not get completely crushed.
I am wearing Spartan Helios. Its super ventilated and good for summers. The removable rain lining provides good protection during rains and winter.
Get a size bigger so that formals are not crushed, I bought the last size XXL. (But then again, I am a bit (ok, a lot) on heavier side :P)

Good to see that you are fully geared up!

Can you please write a short review on black Odysseus pants? It would be of great help for potential buyers, even I am planning to buy it soon. Would like to know few points like how does it fare in summer heat? Do the vents really help a lot in cooling? And also some pros and cons from your side
