Better try to get the riding gears online.
Believe me, I have added Spartan Helios to Cart for purchasing 2 times now, and everytime I didn't place the order as I feared the size difference between Cramster and Spartan. I have tried old Breezer and I know S fits me well, but what if Spartan's S is too small for me.

This fear keeps me from getting things online, I want to try any of Spartan jacket in person for once

I have an M- size, but will not be Delhi till next week. If you wear a shirt which is less than 38, then S will fit you fine.

Well i am still confused which one to buy :P. But i am sure i'll either buy a hyperion or helios because i cant find any other jacket better than these ones.

            guys, quick suggestion.
Tomorrow i'm on my way to bangalore to pick up Helios.
Need pointers for Gloves. Budget: 3k

I have pan-india trip planned in July. So looking for full-gauntlet gloves ( by full gauntlet i mean that cover part your hands and part of your arms too).

The trip includes Leh Ladakh as well, but since that'll only be a part of the trip, i dont wanna invest in a winter jacket or gloves.
            Please advise
            Thanks

PS: I'm also planning to go for Perseus Knee guards. Would they suffice or should i go for exterior worn ones? Any suggestions? Budget: 3k max

              Hi Varun,

Gloves: you may try Spartan Ares - excellent pair of full gauntlet gloves and is exactly 3k. Also check out Cramster TRG2 - a VFM pair of gloves.

Reg knee guards, AFAIK Perseus has Knox - CE rated PU armor which is very effective in terms of impact absorption so they should serve the purpose pretty well.

I was a bit skeptical about Helios since its a mesh jacket and won't hold up much against the Ladakh's cold, but i guess i'll have to layer myself with a bit of woolen.

For saddle bags, Viaterra Claw is the best to go with right ? Bit unsure if i would require a tank bag ( i do own a DSLR, but don't think ill be stopping that much ).

                Any views ?

Is this just me or same with all? I have recently bought blaster gloves by cramster . I had never used gloves before to ride my bike , after wearing these gloves it feels like i have lost my finger dexterity, its just unusual feeling and requires bit extra effort even to use small stuff like indicators, horn. Is it just me being new to gloves or these gloves are made this way ... ???

It isn't just you and yea, you'll get used to it. Besides, gears have their own run-in so be patient and give it some time.

It happens initially but trust me, there comes a time when you don't feel like riding without the gloves. [emoji2]

looking for dunlop and motul stickers in Mumbai, any ideas?

Pls contact LGU on availability of the products and sizes you are looking for before going.
If you are looking for a full cordura jacket (better in cold but horrible in the sun) - you may try Spartan Achilles or DSG Nero.
Yes, Claw is one tried and tested and recommended tail bag. Better to check for any reviews on claw being used on the bike you own.
Reg tank bag, it all depends on volume of your luggage. At times its handy to have a few things which you may need frequently to be in the tank bag.

                              Hey thanks for your reply.
I came to Bangalore on Sat morning , and went to LGU. Got hold of Helios, Ares. The owners were the best and really helped me a lot in deciding as well as the size. I was going for a 2XL size since XL was a snug fit for me, but they insisted i go for XL since all the armor was in place and properly fixed. I also got to sit on my bike and feel it properly. Same goes for the gloves. Although helmets were not in stock, but i really needed one since while coming from Mysore, my 4 year old LS2 was literally disintegrating. So she made a call and pointed me to the shop near Urvashi theater where i could get hold of helmets.
Tried SOL,THH, MT. Went with MT cause it was cheap and surprisingly fit me perfectly. ( i normally go for XL helmets, but L in MT fit me perfectly )
Wore everything and rode back to Mysore on Sunday. Even though there was an unusual amount of traffic on the highway at 8am ( i guess its imputed to the summer vacations going on) , both the gloves and jacket held up pretty nice. Helios's Mesh made sure i felt cool during the ride under the hot sun, and Ares also didn't make holding the throttle any much constrained.
Overall pretty happy with the purchase.
Next in line is Viaterra Claw and some knee guards. Suggestions ? I wanted to go with Perseus, but they wern't in stock at LGU. Also, i had no money left

PS: LGU also had crampbuster in stock. I've read a lot many things about it so wanted to check it out. What i felt was that since the R15 throttle isn't big, and this crampbuster itself had a sizable length, i felt it might constrict holding it somehow. I asked the shop owner weather its really godsend, he just smiled

Some good gear choices there. The gloves will take a couple rides to break in, and then they'll be second nature. Nice that you did your research and then went in for the proper items for your biking requirement.
