^^^ I have been using this from quite some time.
Its good for small rides (for a day) but start giving me lower back pain in long rides when i used it for 2 or 3 days. It basically somewhat restricts the back movement and a constant pressure on lower back leads to lower back pain.
Guys any review or pointers on this post.Originally posted by flyingJian View PostGuys i was checking for Saddle bag and stumbled upon Saddle bag from Rynox.
The name of the saddle bag is the Nomad and it has a capacity of whopping 38 litres per side
so total capacity of the bags will be 76 litres. And the construction material used is also better than cramster's.
RYNOX GEARS
The capacity of the Saddle bag from Cramster Colt is only 37 litres

Am I reading something wrong or is it really that huge?
Has anybody used these in any long rides? A review please .....Last edited by flyingJian; 04-27-2012, 12:30 PM.

Oh great. I thought it will be comfortable. But i will be riding in normal shoes hence shin protection would be necessary i think. Have you had the chance to try any other product from knox? like then normal knee guard?Originally posted by rkakkar View PostI'm using the flex lite knee guards and they are GREAT! However as you rightly pointed out, it doesn't protect the shin. But then on the other hand, its usually the job of full length boots. Still its a million times better than those fake FOX, AXO guards floating out there for around 1K.
How good is shin protection in a normal knee guard? If its minimal and wont make a difference then I will go for this.
Do let me know. Thanks so much for your input.
Regardless, Life shall go on.

If budget permits, go for these. You will not be disappointed! However the flex lite would be a lot more comfortable to wear under your office trousers/jeans, as compared to any of the knee guards. That's the reason why I bought them, since I intend to only use them within the city.Originally posted by yellowspunk View PostOh great. I thought it will be comfortable. Indeed there are lots of good back protectors, KNOX and Alpinestars being better. Now not to mention KNOX themselves make it for many brand houses out there.Originally posted by Eshan-P180 View PostHello all
Iam planning to order http://www.cramster.in/images/rg_spine_big.jpg
Any suggestions or alternatives??
So if you can go for Cramster go for it, it's pretty good. And on a personal note, all Cramster stuff are not crapster as they are fondly called.
I personally use them and they've been holding on remarkably well.
Keep it like crap, it will be the same for any stuff.
Something is better than nothing right, so if you like the Cramster go for it.
You can expect decent shin protection using the knee guards. Indeed approximately knee guards offer 70% of the shin protection, so you need not worry, couple that with a good ankle boot, you're all set to go.Originally posted by yellowspunk View Post

But as I already replied to your question, do go for the best of what you can afford out there when it comes to knee pads.
Both FOX and THOR are excellent pads, even fake's are so comfortable you can'd discern which is which, only a crash will tell, which in all faith, I don't to happenOriginally posted by yellowspunk View PostAm thinking the same. Any idea about comfort?
So go for what you look based upon looks, price, comfort and protection. As I previously said, my take FOX and THOR
Cheers!

Thanks but my budget does not permit it. And i need shin guard too with the knee guard and the proper normal knox knee guard has got poor reviews. I'm planning to buy riding pants. Budget isn't fixed, but the max I could spend is 6.5k. The main requirement is that it should be waterproof too (with a removable waterproof liner if possible).
Now, the options are:
1. DSG's riding pants (not on their website) which cost 5.5k.
2. AGV riding pants (not sure if it's waterproof or not) 6k.
3. Rjays riding pants (might go for this) costs 6.6k
I don't want Cramster since there are negative reviews about their products. Which among these do you guys suggest? Plan to use the same at least for 2-3 years.

DSG Pants? Never thought they make pants too, but then make sure you get good reviews of it before you go for it. Maybe who use DSG pants can you help you out.Originally posted by prateekm View PostI'm planning to buy riding pants. Budget isn't fixed, but the max I could spend is 6.5k. Cramster Pants: I have some friends of mine who use, Cramster pants, they are not "Crapster" as most fondly call it.
Cramster is good budget buy and it can last a good while before it gives up, I'd say they are good, me using their products for a while now.
RJays Pants: Excellent pants, though a tad costlier, it's a real good pant. I've used these pants and the ventilation and water proofing character is fantastic.
AGV Pants: Can't comment, cos neither worn or neither read a review here. Maybe others who use can give their views.
P.S. On a personal note, go for the product which can be easily sourced and try sourcing most from India itself, you have lots of good stuffs here in India.
But that was just my thought.
Cheers!

Got the RYNOX Opimus-M bag last week.. Note this is not a complete review. I am yet to use it on a proper long ride.. can comment then.
The bag really is of great quality.. finishing is perfect.. cant find any loose/broken stitches.. has big sized pockets.. reflectors on all sides.. waterproof cover for the entire bag.. one pocket is waterproof I believe.. etc
+points
1, Great quality atleast to my eyes
2, Its BIG.. and expandable upto 29lts!!
3, The magnetic base is detachable through a zip. Once removed this bag can be used as a carry bag/tail bag. Or I think we can attach the 'suction base' of Optimus-S which is non-magnetic for use on bikes with non-metal tanks.
-points
1, Zipers are not YKK! It doesn't feel bad.. but not great.
2, The bag cannot be used as a carry bag unless the magnetic base is removed/unzipped, since the carry straps go inside the magnetic base and the bag. It is little frustrating to unzip/zip the base now and then.
3, Even though Rynox charged an extra amount for sending the bag through blue-dart (over maruti couriers).. they still sent it through Maruti couriers and a cause of delay. I don't know why a premium then.
As of now, The bag is an excellent VFM.. Detailed review after atleast 1000kms..MJ

There is no specific tank bag for your need, you have specialized camera bags in eBay where you can carry all your camera related stuffs, it is purpose built for cameras, lenses, tripods, covers, battery, you name it.Originally posted by muRali.dexTeR View Postpls suggest me a tank bag to carry a DSLR with one tele lens and also transparent pocket for keeping the mobile. my ride is RTR 160.
As far as tank bag is concerned, any tank bag will easily go easy with a DSLR, coupled with your mobile, so that shouldn't be an issue. All tank bags, come with transparent plastic over the top, so you can keep your mobile, maps, anything which you need to take out frequently, and your DSLR inside the bag, pretty simple
Cheers!

Could anybody give a comparo about the RYNOX "Nomad" RYNOX GEARS and the Dirtsack "Speedbag" Speedbag
The Speedbag is smaller..but I guess it can hold most of the stuff for a week long journey and is much cheaper.

I guess, as of now there is very handful guys who's going in for the RYNOX stuff and even more handfuls going in for the Dirtsack stuff and a very few posting a review as such, so I guess WE'D have to wait for a while to know what's RYNOX and Dirtsack is all about.Originally posted by Mithungo View PostCould anybody give a comparo about the RYNOX "Nomad" RYNOX GEARS and the Dirtsack "Speedbag" Speedbag

I am planning to go for the The Navigator tankbag very soon. But I guess Dirtsack Speedbag and Cramster Colt are both the same when it comes to the capacity and features.
Meanwhile, the RYNOX Nomad has a pretty big carrying capacity holds 38 Liters per side (Expanded) unlike 16L (per side) like the Cramster Colt and the Dirtsack Speedbag.
So that sums it for the most part, let's wait and see for some honest reviews here.
Cheers!
