guys can someone help me on Alpinestar T-RC-1 jacket..
where in India can i get it,
checked with Orion Motors they Dont have it in small size..
DSG isnt having the stock,
in Mumbai also no dealer is having it..

or can someone tell a site where if i order the jacket online, it wont get stuck in customs..??

GoPro guys have released a new version of the HERO cam. It is called HERO HD2. The specs are much better than old HERO- 11 MP cam, 2x better optics, .5s timelapse shots etc. I just had a friend buy me one from US. Cost $380 for the camera set and batterybackpack.

PRS has the older version for 19k - but it costs only ~$200 in US. Also try EBay.

Hey thanks, Mithun. Thing is the lesser the better. I contacted PRS long time back regarding the camera and they told me it would take a month for them to back order. Other than that, I tried Ebay too, everything is either not for my taste or way too pricey. The reason I posted was to get any idea other than PRS in India, but I guess it's only PRS.

I have some buddies in US and UK but their presence in India is way enough for me to get grandfathered.

I guess I'd have to keep pinging Malcolm when the back order is gonna be replenished. But for 19k I guess I can go for the HERO version one.

Am looking for safety and comfort(touring) very important and price. which is my best option? 2.4k is the max i can spend.

Axo knee guard (read its fake, good, crash tested, comes with elbow guard which i dont need, but is it worth it? comfortable?) Rs.1200

Fox raptor (read its fake, cheapest, couldnt find reviews) Rs. 900

Cramster bionic knee guard (read its of poor quality, rivet problem? but it fits perfectly in my budget and its bionic and some say its good, can i go for it?) Rs.1500

Thor/fox knee guard (originals i guess, costliest but which is comfortable? if its is the best in terms of safety and most comfortable then i will go for it.) Rs.2400

Mate, there are lot of knock offs in FOX, AXO and even A* knee pads you name it. I mean, knee pads are are meant to be scraped one way or the other and I myself seen my buddies wear all kinds of knee pads, bruised battered and still going on, even unknown brands, but have taken the hit pretty well.

Since you mentioned safety is paramount, why don't you go for THOR SECTOR, else FOX TITAN you can go for either of those, though they slightly exceed your budget, you can get the best and have a peace of mind knowing they are not fake, at least from Performance Racing Store. Spending for the same in eBay, knowing what you're gonna get in two mind, is far better then spending your moolah somewhere where you get peace of mind, I always say

My suggestion, THOR SECTOR or FOX Titan, why? Since it's PRS, fake is ruled out and you get protection at its best, in and around your budget

Hi Guys,

With the monsoon approaching soon, I was looking at picking up a good quality, 2pc Rain Coat set...

Top priorities are that it should be good quality, ventilated and light weight.

Had bought a duckback make raincoat last year but it was made of rubbery material, too heavy and lacked any form of ventilation. 15mins with the rain coat on and I would get wet inside, not by the rain , but by the sweating!

You are welcome Try as much to get it from US though - for the 19 k you pay to PRS here, you can get the next gen HERO2 AND a battery extension kit.

Btw if you order via PRS try to get the Battery Pack as well. The existing battery is good for only 2.5 Hrs. And don't buy the 32GB SD card from them - it costs a whopping $80 in US - PRS guys are going to charge you 8k for that . Better get a class 10 32GB SD from any local shops.Will cost you 2-3k.

I bought a pair of original / genuine Alpinestars bionic knee guards from Orion motors, Bangalore. I bought this last year and the condition is excellent.

I am buying riding pants next month so wont be needing these knee guards. Anyone who is interested please send me a PM. IIRC, i paid a little over 5k for it.

I'm using the flex lite knee guards and they are GREAT! However as you rightly pointed out, it doesn't protect the shin. But then on the other hand, its usually the job of full length boots. Still its a million times better than those fake FOX, AXO guards floating out there for around 1K.
