Using handlebars grips make it too thick for me to use the brake with two fingers effectively. I'd like to remove the grips and use gloves alone on the bare handlebars, so I am hoping the gloves have a little bit of padding atleasat.

I'm looking for gloves below 2,500. So far I've come across DSG Nitro and Axo pro race gloves, can the owners please comment on those? Thanks!
I recently bought the DSG Revive (@1950) for daily use and short rides. Its leather, vented and so comfortable. I highly recommend it .
Go for some leather gloves, they will do well in grip/vibration isolation fronts

Its time for me to move on to better ones. How about the quality on Scoyco? Either scoyco or thor sector.. Or use the fox raptor for few more months and get A* bionic.. The A* reflex knee pads could have been an option but they are not listed on planetdsg now.

Regarding gloves, i have read issues with cramster TRG2 and so have decided for DSG primal.
I did not get the opportunity to compare Scoyco K07 with cramster once or any other. But one thing is for sure they are far far better than those AXO once which are sold in India for 800 buck or so.

And for gloves you can also check out Spartan Pro Gear Ares (full gauntlet gloves)

Thanks, I was hoping for someone to vouch for comfort and quality on a model that fits my needs.

I'm just curious, where did you get them for 1950? The website quotes 2250. D:

If so, i will definately have a look at it. At the price point, they are VFM definately. I think AH helmets in mumbai should stock it as he is a reseller for scoyco.

I have checked the Spartan gloves personally and felt them OK. But there was a mention by some member that he observed tearing of the material near the stitches. No other review seen yet. DSG primal seems fail proof so far

Where was this review/complaint? He can return it for exchange of a new piece as it would be covered under warranty, unless he crashed with it.

I dont know if we can actually call it a complain or review. May be just an observation and particular with only one piece. But there are not many review about it. In such situation even some observation might work against.

I had also checked out the Spartan gloves at AH helmets, they seemed pretty ok for the price, nice supple leather, other options he had were some fake Alpinestars gloves for 3.5k, after being shown the fakes, I decided not to shop from there. But I am looking for something with more protection, especially on the outer wrist area, have been looking at the Komine gloves from a dealer in Delli, they seem good for the price, though now I am very apprehensive about buying riding gear from any dealer in India.

A quick review of the gear I have at the moment:

Helmet: LS2 Big One, good ventilation, comfortable, a little noisy at 80kmph plus, only 2* rated by SHARP Uk safety ratings, had for 18 months so far, I will upgrade to something with 4-5* and more silent within the next 12 months, my rating 7/10 good VFM, cheap to by, let down by the safety rating and wind noise is a little high.

Jacket: Rjays Octane Camo, reasonable protection, dealer had advertised knox armour including CE rated back protector, the knox armour had been replaced with some Korean brand (powertector), which is ok, but the back armour is no longer CE rated. Fairly rugged and durable, been using for 18 months now, ventilation is let down by the foam back 'protector', being solid, there is little area for exhaust, had a good 15 metre slide with the jacket on, absolutely no damage or injuries for the areas covered by the jacket and the jacket was also unscathed, the rain liner, whilst it is water proof, nothing can breathe in the humid tropics, so waste of time for me and I don't ride in the rain. Overall happy with the jacket, the big disappointment for me is the lack of CE rated back armour, this is the main reason I had purchased this jacket.
The positives, Cops and RTO don't stop me, they think I'm some Navy seal or something, which works for me as my exhaust is a tad loud. The fit is good though I'm between L and XL, I got the XL, recently I had some extra velcro straps put on below the elbow, this keeps the armour in position perfectly. Safety wise, it's still a mesh jacket, when I grow up and get a proper bike will definitely upgrade to full leather (perforated of course) , however I will be getting some perforated leather stitched to the impact areas shortly. My rating 6/10, would have given 7.5/10 but i'm still pissed at the dealer/importer for adverting knox armour and more importantly the knox CE rated back armour (their site has been revised after I had brought their attention to this, really they have no excuse for not knowing this in the first place!). YKK zippers are present which is a must! one large water proof pocket, plus four mesh pockets with YKK's and one with velcro closing.

Pants: AGV Sport Solare, I ordered these from the US, for two reasons, the importer took for ever to reply and only had size L, I wanted XL, going by the reviews I knew L would be very tight around my thighs, calves, I also knew the XL is for guys over 6ft ie 6'1"-6'5" I am 5'11", the knee pads sit too low, even when on the bike, but I knew this would be the case, so I had planned a solution, I had the pocket for the protector stitched to raise the guard and had an additional velcro strap attached below the knee, this works great, especially when tucked into my boots, again YKK zippers, including a jacket attachment, which I had duly stitched to my jacket, reasonable hip padding stitched externally and removable foam padding in pockets, will upgrade to CE protected armour shortly and stitch some perforated leather for the impact areas, some tail bone padding, very good adjustment around the waist, as the XL fits fairly loose, no belt loops though (not required as the velcro adjustment is good and of good quality), two waterproof pockets.

My rating 7/10, good pant for the money, no waterproof liner which keeps the cost down and I can't use them anyway, beware when buying the sizing also applies to the height as well as waist measurement. Good ventilation, though as with all gear you will suffer in the hotter months.

Boots: Cortech Latigo Air RR, full length with perforated PU material race boot (entry level at best),as with most boots these days not much real leather is used, good protection all round, shin, ankle, sole etc. great feel on the bike, weird when off the bike, great boot for the money, only downside is the zippers are not YKK's , my left boot sometimes splits whilst trying to zip up, mostly due to my large calve muscles, the issue doesn't occur when I wear the pants outside, I feel more comfortable (safer) with the pants tucked in. I wanted the Forma boots from KRP, but were out of stock at the time of purchase, they would have cost the same, but would have been a step up.
Changing gears up takes a little getting used to after wearing normal shoes, I tend to catch the the lever from the side and as a result I don't get my shift, gradually overcoming this issue, which is from me not the boot.
Overall 7/10 decent protective race boot for the money, let down my the zippers, ventilation is fairly good, but at a decent speed in the hotter months.

Gloves: I have some crappy Scoyco MX shorties (MC09), had a slide in these gave me some protection to the hand, my wrist hurt for a good month, so will be getting a good full gauntlet with adequate protection around the wrist. Overall 3/10 some protection is better than nothing, not good enough for road use though, you get what you pay for in the end.

Now I am in the market for some gloves, the Komine are tempting me, though I am a tad nervous buying gear in India, with so many fakes flying around, I have other options though, 1) order from the US or 2) My sister in law is in Italy, her other half is into bikes, he also has pretty much the same size hands as me, so I could get her to bring me a nice pair of Spidi's back, not many other options over here! (Sellers market)

Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

Clean review there . Here's the take and I have two follow-up questions too.

CE Approved Back Armor are available only as an accessory in 95% of the jackets of all brands, though some jackets offer them as standard. Even RJays offer a CE approved back protector, if you check out the RJays website, but the downside is, in India, in case of RJays and elsewhere we only get the ones that come standard with the jacket, foam.

Regarding pants, that's a good idea, that you stitched the inner pocket to raise the armor. But did the armor go inside fully? Because either you'll have to stitch from the so called "excess space" from the underneath the pocket, which will make the pocket size smaller for the armor to fit it. So my question is did it go smoothly or did you alter the length of the pocket vertically?

Third one is how did the quality of Spartan glove compare to RJays and Rjays to the AGV products, just your views that'd be great.

                      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                      THE END

Actually the armour is different now, Bachoo Motors had the decency to update their website after I had brought it to their attention, they same day as I recall

We had only altered the pocket height, shortened from the bottom, they are jammed to the top of the pocket and sit perfectly when tucked into the boots, I have not tried with the pants over the boots as I feel more protected with them tucked in, the alteration went smoothly except the first time round the tailor stitched through the armour! he corrected it within half an hour, all stitching was triple stiched and done internally where possible with nylon thread.

The spartan glove was pretty descent for city riding or touring, not really for aggressive sport riding or track days (not that I am likely to get a track day any time soon), I have not seen Rjays gloves and the full gauntlets are gone from Bachoo Motors website, AGV sport are supposed to be fairly good VFM, not seen for myself though, trouble with gloves is sizing can be a bit weird between brands, this is one item where trial is a must, I come up anywhere between a Medium and a 2XL according to various companies websites, I guess an L or XL would be my best bet, trouble is no one here gives much info on sizing with their reviews.

                              • I have stored my Joe rocket UFO 2.0 mesh jacket and forgot where I kept it for almost a year. Found it today to see the CE approved armors(shoulder) have been torn into pieces. I think this is normal wear property of the rubber when stored.
