The "okay-ish" one you refer to has some plastic stitched to foam for comfort while the HELIOS uses proper CE Level 1 rated moulded armour - similar to the type found on most modern international brands. This moulded armour is also rated for Type 'B' which is heavy duty use and separately marked for Elbows/Shoulders/Knee application - all of which, including the CE Certification are embossed on the product and not stuck on with a label. Please ascertain for yourself.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Your asking for review after buying a product ?? that's strange...!!
Well don't worry mate, you made a great purchase, the Revive has a great review from our members here and considering the price range of the gloves it is the most vfm product at that range, some of our members here have used it for years and thousands of kms and it still holds strong, though it doesn't offer as much safety as a full gauntlet glove for city riding and small tours its pretty much a kickass product, now use it for a few thousand kms and post your review too.
Cheers

I am home after a 2.5k kms ride, Bangalore - Goa - Pune - Bangalore. My Spartan Pegasus performed really, really well. The fit is absolutely comfortable now. I rode thru early mornings, late nights and under the sun as well. My palms were never sweaty under the sun, never cold early morning/ late nights. Just the right amount of ventilation. Some reflective tapes would have helped though.

Choosing Protective Riding Jacket between Rjays etc upto 8,500 Rs
hi all,
I want to buy an all weather Riding Jacket with superb protection . Since currently i am based in North hence the temperature goes upto 48 Degrees in summer to 4 degrees in winter.
The jacket should have excellent airflow and superb protection.
I have tried Rjays Octane and found it to be excellent with superb airflow and superb protections just that the weight is high and price is 8000 .
I have seen photos of Alpinestars T-GP Plus Air Jacket online and it seems to be good description wise as well as it is discounted Alpinestars T-GP Plus Air Jacket - 8,499.00Rs.
then there is DSG Nero Jacket for 6,000 DSG Nero Jacket - 5,999.00Rs
Since i have just seen Rjays i want to know how all these three jackets compare with each other ? Guys, please feel free to pur in your knowledge . I am currently in Mumbai Goregaon West and if there is any good shop nearby please let me know
Also if anyone knows any place where i can find Rjays cheaper then 8000 let mw know.

The gloves are quite good, using them everyday for 2 years now and they only tear if you have a fall( though a small tear near the dase area did show-up early on). Good ventilation even in summer, not as good as it's mesh counter-parts but worth it for the added safety you are getting with them.Originally posted by hunterjack View PostYesterday went out for gloves shopping. . I had one fall with them where they didn't tear but grazed the surface badly, second fall had a small inch tear near the palm area, but no injury to me. The tear did open up to a certain limit but stopped tearing.( I thought with daily use the tear would increase, but it didn't) I have got drenched in rain with these gloves I would recomend that you avoid it in the rain as they leak colour and the colour is difficult to get off your hand. Rest it's of superior quality and worth the 2k odd bucks I paid. Somebody did complain about the vecrow on it, but mine is still in good condition after daily use.
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Bro,
I was once in the same dilemma,
The same Jackets as well
.
1. Rjays OCtane 2. AlpineStar TGP Plus Air 3.DSG Nero As well.
Finally Settled for Rjays Octane,
Because it had best ventilation in its class had Back Support Compared to A* ( Support has to be fitted Extra). Cost wise it was 1000 Rupees Cheaper to A*.
A* is not waterproof as well. Rjays have provided an Rain Liner for the same.
And my wife suggested it ( she has a better attention to details than me in these cases). The camaflouge design caught my eye as well.
DSG Nero , the shop Guy ( Helmet Paradise, Bangalore) was vouching for it. Has good support on parts but somehow didn't feel ike my cup of tea.
I picked Rjays for 7500 ( I Love the jacket), from Orion Motors Bangalore. Why don't you check in Bachoo Motors Mumbai, they are the ones who distribute Rjays here. Should get for the same price.
Let us know, once you settle on the one of your choice..
