I use the Orazo Picus frequently. It is much more comfortable than dedicated riding boots and offer decent water resistance.
It has been more than a year now and it is still going strong.

Hey Guys, I've decided on buying a riding jacket from Spartan pro gear. Either Icarus or the Helios. But I'm not sure where to buy it from. Should i order it directly from the SPG website or visit a retailer in Mumbai. I visited a SPG retailer in Andheri some time back and his charges seemed to be a bit excessive over the normal price. Can anyone also guide me about the price all inclusive that I can expcet to pay for the Helios all inclusive so that I can find out if I'm getting ripped off or not?

Helios is a very good and informed choice. and for the rates, i think the prices of the products had increased recently, do one thing check the rate provided at the store and try comparing it with the rate the SPG guys quote including courier, whichever is lesser choose that one, and as far as sizing is concerned, all you need to do is try the size at the shop you visited and order that size from the website. !!!

Guys, some advice needed.. I recently bought Rynox Rampage Gloves (size L).. But during the riding (braking and clutch play) my fingers feel like they are held back.. In short they are a bit tight.. But the size XL size were very loose.. My brothers is asking for those gloves and then i'll have to buy new ones..
so should i go for really loose or slightly tight fit..?
Extra loose or tight, both cause some discomfort and disturb the normal feel of the ride..
i am only talking about Rynox brand because they are the only ones available here.. Others are just local brands..

          Ride safe and have fun.

Both are not advisable, there is something called *snug* fit . Too tight a glove will make you palms and fingers feel numb and can cause pressure induced pain later on. But as any stuff, leather expands over time, and even I had the same issue. Too loose on the same hand will impede your quick reactions and it's far worse than a tight fitting, your fine-movements will get restricted big time.

Best idea is to get try some more pieces and as clumsy as it may sound, some piece will fit chic and if you still have problems, try some other brand. But remember a glove takes some time to set in for most people, as it will expand later on.

            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

thanks.. I was also thinking the same when i bought the L size..
But the problem is, there arn't many dealers which sell good products.. I found the people selling Rynox gears after a long search.. The Rampage is mostly mesh with leathers over finger top.. So it doesn't need break-in..
People don't use any type of riding gear.. I haven't seen a single person here in jaipur with riding gear in the last 4 years..
maybe will have to go to Delhi and buy from there.. gonna be so hectic.. Will wait and use these till i go there..

If possible, try getting something from DSG like NITRO or REVIVE or Spartan Phaeton etc, those are a tad costly compared to the Kombat, but they those are basic gloves right. But I'd say for the time being, try wearing them and see how it fares, if it's too tight, then better not use them in the long run.

                Cheers!

I already have a couple of pairs of gloves. A street and a winter pair. I now need to get a full gauntlet pair. The DSG seems the best option of the three. The Spartan overpriced compared to the two and the Cramster is good VFM. I know track riders who use the DSG and Cramster.

                    Spartan Pro Gear
Riding Gloves, TRG2 - Racing Gloves - Full Gauntlet
                    DSG Primal Gloves : Grey - 2,750.00Rs

Riding pants. The Spartan looks the coolest. But more than that I cannot decide. The A* claims to be waterproof.

                    Alpinestars AST-1 Waterproof Riding Pants - 10,999.00Rs
                    Spartan Pro Gear
DSG Nero Waterproof Pants - 5,750.00Rs

Also, I have a cramster cordura jacket. Is armour available anywhere which I can replace? Balaclava etc also needs to be bought.

                    Any help folks...

This guy was riding at 40mph(around 60kph) with no protection for his legs except a pair of jeans. Look at the severity of his injuries after he met with an accident.

True, but I always wondered about all biker commuters out there, with 2 or 3 kids and wife as pillion.Yeah, now that the law is strict the rider is wearing helmet(if that half faced plastic thingy can be classified as one)Me too advise all my friends to at least wear helmets. But how can I tell them to put a helmet on kid who sit on the tank and ride?
Hope some kind of solution is there.Sitting sideways on the rear seat with flowing saree is another thing.
I know that this is OT,still this is regarding safety of those commuters whose no exceeds far more than ours.

Regarding the armor, you can contact Cramster sales folks or the nearest Cramster reseller for a the armor set. Mostly other than Spartan at least locally, no one offers replacement upgradable armors. But that being said the CRAMSTER TR2G full gauntlet glove is a choice to consider at 2600 bucks it's pretty good on the pocket

But the DSG Primal has been tried and tested and at 2750 it's a good deal.

But I'd suggest you go for DSG Primal, if you're inclined towards the budget stuff. Else look none other than Cramster, purely on your budget basis.

                          Cheers!

This is India, the easiest solution to this problem is to educate school students about road and driving safety so that they don't do this when they grow up.

                                Hello folks!!

Just booked my Duke 390 and am pretty excited, so now looking for riding gear to go along with it. Budget around 15k. What i need: A jacket, pair of gloves. I live in nagpur, maharashtra so local availabilty is a bit of an issue so may have to buy online so please recommend some reliable websites.
Since winter is approaching i would like something that helps ward off the chill as it tends to be chilly in the morning. And also i plan to buy a separate jacket for rains next year as i will be able to save up some money by then. I would be glad if i could find gear that matches the paint scheme of my bike.

Also do you guys have any experience with the KTM powerwear? The website has no mention of pricing, is it available at the KTM showrooms?
                                These look good:
KTM STREET EVO JACKET 14 - Jackets - Street - Functional - PowerWear
KTM VENTED JACKET - Jackets - Street - Functional - PowerWear
