I checked Helios on SPG website but didn't get any option for the optional thermal liner with that. Could you please paste the link for the same?
Also, how about Spartan Odysseus? Is that a good option? The downside being it doesn't come with Knox armor.

The website is not updated, and a lot of information is missing. I believe you can ask for a thermal liner while placing your order. I am surprised that the Odysseus doesn't come with KNOX, since the Helios, Chronos and Achilles do. Sunny Sir would be the right person to answer your queries in this regard.

I am from New Delhi and summers here are very hot. I don't ride my bike daily but mostly weekends or rarely to my office which is 35-40 kms from my home and comprises of 50 percent city ride and remaining being the highway ride. Also, 4-5 times a year, I go for long rides to Himalayan states of Himachal, Jammu & Kashmir and Uttarakhand. For this reason, I am looking for a jacket with a removable warm liner. Also, since I will be using it in New Delhi as well, it should have good air flow. So, to be precise, I am looking for an all-weather jacket. My budget is around 6-7 thousand. So far, I have selected DSG Triton but have heard that the water resistant liner can't be removed and will be difficult to use in summers. I have also checked motorcyclegear.com and found some good options there too but since my first jacket, I am a bit hesitant to buy it online and that too from outside India. Please suggest something, friends.

          Thanks
You can also check Rjays jackets. Redline Store, Kirti Nagar is the official dealer of Performance Racing Store goods.

It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

u can stitch up the extra length. fold up the extra length and stitch it;the strap.sunnyji said to do the stitch in a z pattern if I remember correctly.you are unable to use the Velcro part right. overshoots I believe.

Why are you interested in CAT shoes? It seems like other steel toed shoes and for the price its being offered, you can get a proper riding boots. Just my 2 cents.

Cleaning a leather glove/textile jacket especially white can be a little painful. "Do Not Dunk The Entire Glove (s) in Water" Take a damp soft cloth and wipe the affected area vigorusly with little pressure and your white glove should be shining again. Never use detergent and solvents that aren't recommended. Just take a soft dam cloth, wipe it hard and then clean the cloth, when you clean the cloth with water again, by squeezing you can see the water turning brown. You can consider a wash cycle if the jacket has grains that are stubborn, but not the glove. Simple and effective method.

This issue was persisted from quite a few folks when Triton was released. You can add even more velcro by stitching them separately to make it even snugger, but that will make the already long velcro patch even longer. But that should be your best bet.

                    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Personally - just clean the grime off with a cloth dipped in a mild soap solution and clean again with water to remove any soap traces. Use leather conditioner to keep the leather soft and supple.

Breezer looks good but just not sure if the quality of guards used is good or not. Also, have heard a lot of negative reviews for Cramsters now, not sure how true they are. For Helios, this is the jacket that I am considering now but the only downside being the absence of thermal liner with it.

Cramster's have hard plastic armor, they aren't as flexbile as the armor that's on HELIOS which are completely foam based and offer good protection and comfort. But if you like the HELIOS I'd suggest you to go for it any day than Cramster, since it has a good price to value ration.

In Helios you can get a thermal liner by paying 500 extra. So you get a rain liner as standard and for thermal liner, paying an extra 500, you get a thermal liner for the HELIOS.

Vijay - have mentioned this before but will do so again for all concerned.

The Cramster Breezer's equivalent from SPG is the ICARUS, not the HELIOS, which is actually in a class above. The ICARUS which sells for just Rs.4800/- can have a thermal jacket included for Rs.800/- which takes it into the same price range as the Breezer. Further, unlike the Breezer, SPG inners are not just liners but actually separate jackets which are included with the main jacket meant to be worn inside. They have their own zippers and can be worn as a separate garment, unlike standard liners from other brands.

I checked the Spartan website and tried to buy Helios from there but didn't get any option for buying thermal liner with it. Need I only buy that off-line to get the liner? Also, any reviews about Spartan Odysseus as it comes with thermal liner but Knox armor is missing?
