Wildcraft is distributor for quechua. Or you can try decathlon on ghodbunder road, kasar vadavli thane. It will have everything from quechua, at a discounted price as well.

Boots for ladakh, I'll let the experienced members comment.

Was wearing woodland boots covering knee area on ladhakh and also bhutan tour served well was wearing plastic bags outside socks. Never got my feet wet.
I was also keeping my boots dry in streams by simply keeping them high and crossing very slowly without splashing water

Outdoortravelgear is from where i hsd got the poncho in 2010 its still with me but will buy something new this year as it has lived its life

My friends were wearing army boots not gum boots they dont protect from cold and none protects from water

hey guys, quick suggestion needed.
We (me and my 2 friends) have a leh-ladakh planned in July. I'm already geared up ( Helios, Ares, knee guards soon )

But the other 2 guys need to buy riding gear tomorrow from New Delhi. Thing is they both are going abroad after the trip, and wont require the stuff after the trip. Is there any possibility of renting it out (we are from chandigarh), or can you please suggest something which is both safe and in budget (like max 5k). Looking for riding jacket, gloves especially.
Going to delhi tomorrow , so any pointers would be helpful

Just thinking... aren't there jackets out there designed such that they can be worn over a traditional padded riding jackets?Would've been really convenient instead of the liners or the poncho arrangement. If there are do let me know.

And woodland boots covering knee area? did u mean ankles?

Hi,

Can anyone please give information from where can I buy Scoyco knee guards in Bangalore? I don't want to spend too much on something like Thor/Knox/A*. The Scoyco K12 looks very interesting, and hope will be cheaper than the mentioned brands.

Even K11 will do if available anywhere (available on ebay paired with elbow guards, but don't need elbow guards).

Or any other recommendation? Cramster one looks the same as Fox Raptor and is out of stock.

It's possible that you would get it at Let's gear up but judging from this link http://m.shopmania.in/moto-accessori...-pair-15146995, the price should be somewhere between 2-3k, in which case, the SPG & Knox knee guards are better as they can be used under your pants & are super comfortable. As for k11, if you get a first-hand inspection & like it then go for it else skip it on Ebay as lot of stuff there could be duplicates therefore going for SPG Persaus or Knox lite knee guards that retail within 2-2.5k are good choices.tc

Actually I'm looking for external guards, which will protect my jeans too, and I can open them anytime I want.

LGU doesn't stock Scoyco.

Initially I was thinking of going with the knock-offs as in case of any incident, it will not hurt my heart. But if they break in case of any impact, that is where my main concern started.

And also:

BikingSpirit in Church Street has Thor Sector knee guards and costs around Rs 1600. This is the best among the cheaper ones. All Fox and Scoyco what we get here are not original stuff.

Aah, since you were not specific about external/internal knee guard therefore thought it was ok to suggest internal ones. Anyway, for external knee guards within the budget of 1-2.5k then both Scoyco & Cramster are ok, Scoyco slight better but Cramster is stated to be trying to improve quality of their bionic protectors. Another option is Zeus Bionic protectors which look bit similar to Cramster's bionic knee guards http://www.zeusgear.in/products/zeus...rs/knee-guards. As for knockoffs & Fox kneeguards then i suggest that you stay away from them as knockoffs use bad quality plastics that could end up hurting you more than protecting you while Fox is designed for Motocross/Dirtbiking & not Street riding therefore again lesser protection as both are not same. If it's possible then save & buy Thor's external knee guards but they cost 3.7k http://spartanprogear.com/Accessorie...ame=10&pId=227 & i am sure, will last for quite sometime while providing good protection as well.tc
rohithraghav's suggestion for Thor Sector's knee guard is also good
