Yea even I preferred the Rynox Rampage, but wanted to get something premium with better padding, so extending the budget to around 3.5K and searching for a better glove.I love the Alpine Star SMX-2 gloves. Looks the part and has better padding according to an online review, but are a tad bit expensive at 4.5K.

After reading a lot I have zeroed in on two, namely:
1. Spartan Helios
2. DSG Nero
Being from bangalore I prefer good all weather jackets which will give good rain protection.
I read DSG Nero is damn hot in summers. Not sure whether the thermal liners can be removed.
Maybe a better insight can be given by realtime users in Bangalore.
For me cold is not an issue as the winters are not that cold as North India.
Also regarding Helios I read somewhere that the mesh is not of good quality, so it might degrade in 2 years time.
As this will be a major investment, I have no plan to buy a jacket every 3-4 years. So what Im looking for is durable one.
So in short my requirements are:
1. Safety(Elbow,shoulder,back)
2. Good rain protection
3. Medium support in winters
4. Highly Durable
5. Value for money
6. My budget is not more 7k.
7. Warranty
8. Daily Usage
Spartan helios is a good choice (y) As far as gloves are concerned pick cramster trg2 without any second thought. They are really good.Won't
Prefer dsg to anyone,i think they are bit over priced than their competitors.
Cheers.
Ride safe.

Upon checking the gloves it felt like they are copy, I maybe wrong here.

Can someone please suggest some decent folks who sell genuine riding gear and just dont fool the customers who are noob like me.

Dont want to go online as I cannot check the fitting and stuff. Hence suggest some stores in mumbai. Please.

Vist the Moto 101 store in khar. They're official retailers of Spartan riding gear. The A.H. helmets guy is a bit shady and quotes higher than market prices.

Hey guys, is there any shop in Delhi or Mumbai where they sell replicas of Alpinestars or other riding boots? I want a pair of boots that just look good. Protection isn't much of my concern in this case (P.S. I know protection is important but I want a good looking pair of boots for my CBR).

What if that duplicate shoe's plastic breaks off from inside in a minor accident and pierces through your flesh. Riding boots have too much engineering and science behind them. If you dont have the budget, you can opt for shoes that falls in the budget , some are as low as 7k-8k (spartan, zeus) but would be pure black. Or else you can go for ankle boots from bata and jcb.

Dude, Just see this video to know how much of technology and R&D goes in making Riding boots..

This applies to all Riding Gears such as jackets,gloves....etc. By Faking it all those goes useless and its better to ride without one instead of a fake one as someone said above

I have been using orazo picus since the past past 1year. It does not cost much but are good when it comes to providing safety as it has steel toe in the front and the sol is also oil resistant. They also have the orazo Ibis, which also good when it comes to touring and the picus can also be worn while going to office and while riding.

I also say use orazo picus its best that one can get on a budget and I have seen it in with Siddhant Mishra who is an ardent tourer and an exceptional motorcycle enthusiast. He uses it regularly on his long rides and tours to places on a regular basis and its still going strong.
