I keep them with my helmet locked in my ride. Sometime I wear them inside a pair of jean if I am out for a shorter period of time like movies. No one even notices.

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
I don't know in which thread to post this because it doesn't come under riding gear, but here goes:
Viaterra recently launched a new product called 'viaterra seaty' which is a small saddle bag cum pillion seat. When there is no luggage, it can be folded and compressed and acts as a cushion for the pillion. In its expanded form it has a capacity of 12 litres which should be enough for day rides or at the max a ride with 1 night stay if you pack light. It is very easy to tie it around the seat, can be done within 2 minutes. Will post a review once I use it for a few rides.

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
I have a user feedback for Sunnyside_up!
After 6-8months of use of spartan phaeton gloves i have started getting wear and tear issues. The leather has started to tear near the base of the thumb bilaterlly.I can see the underlying ?kevlar layer.please consider more quality checks for the leather being used.By profession I'm a doctor and I do not tour or go adventure biking.my daily commute is 10-15km.that's it.and only the past 3 months have I started using the gloves regularly for 5 mins riding either way to my hospital.
I would like to point the same quality issue on my Helios jacket as well with the sticker/logo and faux velvet near the cuffs and neck peeling off completely. Please check into the Quality control /materials used for these. Thankfully no stitching that I can see have come off.
Also what can be done for my gloves?? Should I just go for another pair now that the leather will eventually just tear even more.Let me point out that I was satisfied with the customer service when Spartan had to replace the first pair of gloves with the stitching coming off.
I'll post the pics soon.Last edited by senotrius; 02-27-2015, 09:17 PM.๔ยкє ҭђгєє ภเภєҭұ เภ ๓ұ שєเภร

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Brothers pls help me in suggesting which jacket to buy.
1) Spatan Helios
2) Saptan Icarus
3) Zues all terrain jacket
4) DSG evo...
If any other pls suggest..my budget is 7k. I will be using mostly in city and weekend rides...so using in Mumbai traffic should hassle free. Also which should b good in Leh climate.

When you have a budget of 7k I suggest you go for either Spartan Helios or dsg evo.
The Helios is an all weather mesh jacket so Mumbai heat/traffic should not be a problem. It provides good protection with Knox armour and comes with rain liner.
I've not used dsg evo but there are some good reviews of the same on this thread.

That looks more like a cut than wear and tear issue mate..Just get it sewn from a local leather shop since getting a whole new pair of gloves just because of one single cut does not seem very logical to me..Originally posted by senotrius View PostAlso what can be done for my gloves?? cut?nope, if u see it in person you might understand better.it does look like an incision on picture now that you mention it.Originally posted by wallpapers123 View PostThat looks more like a cut than wear and tear issue mate..Just get it sewn from a local leather shop since getting a whole new pair of gloves just because of one single cut does not seem very logical to me..
however ,this is more like due to stretching kind of force.but on both sides and same place.otherwise,I'm thinking maybe it's the handgrip on my duke 390 even!
Regarding sewing:Are local cobblers enough for the job?(they're getting rare nowadays as are purpose oriented leather shops in this part of the nation)๔ยкє ҭђгєє ภเภєҭұ เภ ๓ұ שєเภร

They should be good enough, all you need is to sew the cut with a nylon thread and you should be good to go.. I haven't done such a thing myself but it should work I guess..Originally posted by senotrius View Postcut?nope, if u see it in person you might understand better.it does look like an incision on picture now that you mention it.

Where can I get the tank pads?? ( Not the ones you put on top of the tank but the ones you install on the side of the tank to get better knee grip while cornering)??
I need them desperately to get the knee down without spending money on Leather Pants, since the side of the tank of D200 is quite slippery.
I'm also thinking of doing some DIY there with regular old mouse pads made from rubber. Will post if successful..Last edited by wallpapers123; 03-02-2015, 03:26 PM.

Hi,
Iam planning to buy the Air GT vs DSG Evo as well. Along with Rynox Kombat/Rampage semi-gauntlets.
Any help from fellow xbhpians in this regard would be welcome.
Also, will the Air GT be too flashy for daily commutes. What about its level of ventilations vs waterproofing?
Thanks!

You can get stompgrips at about 4.5k, from prs, or keiti traction dots at 2.6k , from planetdsg.Originally posted by wallpapers123 View PostThey should be good enough, all you need is to sew the cut with a nylon thread and you should be good to go..
