Riding pants ..what's the choice of the masses? Best value for money amongst Indian brands. Ofcours not brutalizing the quality. Spartan, rynox, zeus etc etc... inputs please

Rynox has this riding pant with knox hip and knee protectors. You can check it out.

confused now in rynox tornado pro & solace defender sas tec. price wise there is no much difference.

tornado 7450 & defender 7100

what will be the best armor knox or sas tec any idea?

Defender Plus is definitely a great Jacket.
1. Tornado is has more mesh less Cordura while Defender + is cordura
2. Tornado liners can be wore as stand alone jackets not sure about Defender +
3. Much better styling of Tornado (Personal opinion)
4. Connection Zipper for Riding Pants in Tornado, not sure about defender +

Knox & Sas Tec are both good armours. while knox is bit stiff sas tec is flexible and only hardens on impact.
I have both Armour. The only major advantage is if you have Sas tec over your knees is more comfortable than Knox. I replaced my Knox armours in Tornado with Sas tec. didn't find much difference. the knox is more confidence inspiring than Sas tec.

Unfortunately people will always have to ask for updated answers. You see as time passes, more and more inputs from new owners are available. One can tap into those critical reviews only when the questions are asked again. So don't feel so bad about repeating questions. I don't remember ever being depressed in an exam when a familiar question comes by..I would rather jump in and give my best answer to get that brownie point [emoji2]

What you said about updated reviews is true, but just browse last 10 or so pages and you'll get what I'm saying.
This fortunately isn't an exam, where the same questions are being kept on asked that too without even bothering to check last few pages.

Which Jacket to choose for

Hi,

I am looking for a Jacket. I have a breezer, brought it 2011 and it's going strong. It is a good one and has saved me for falls and served loyally.
I am based in Kerala and most of my rides will be around South India with some occassional rides to Central or North.

Right now I am planning a Kashmir-Leh-Himachal ride spanning little over a month during September and October. So I would like to get a new Jacket for this ride. I have shortlisted the below. My maximum budget is 10k for a Mesh based Jacket with proper thermal liner.

1. Rynox Tornado Pro
2. Ladakh from Biker Brotherhood (I can get SAS-Tec protectors separately)
3. TBG Adv Breed (My friend has it. The fit and finish are top notch)

Aspida Helios Prime and Aspida Hyperion are with in my budget. They do not have thermal liners. Should I consider them?

Another option I am considering(very much interested) is get a drifter jacket from royal enfield and buys SAS-Tec elbow and shoulder armour separately. For summers I have my Breezer jacket.

Advice from experienced riders are much appreciated.

New Riding Pants

Hi,

I am looking for riding pants. I already own riding jacket, gloves, etc. I am planning to complete my riding gear by adding a pair of pants in it.
I have gone through a lot of sites like
cramster
planetdsg
spartanprogear
zeusmotorcyclegear
and other websites

I am not able to pick some decent pants within a budget. I am looking for a pant with CE approved knee and hip protection. My main usage is for touring, so it would be nice if it's an all weather pants.
So Here are the questions.
1. For protection is riding jeans worth buying as compared to riding pants?
2. Can someone please suggest any riding pants and/or give reviews about the pants you are using?

Thanks JS16. I am also getting more inclined towards Rynox Tornado. I also have their Advent Riding Pant.
I will also check RE thumper jacket. it comes with Knee,Elbow and Back Protector, though CE rate(I think so). It is a leather jacket with removable thermal liner. I am planning to check it out on next Saturday and then make a final call.

This is a comparison between Solace Aspire Short Gloves VS Aspida Hades Short Cuff Gloves


I wanted to purchase the Aspida Hades Short Cuff gloves due to the protection/construction with all over padding including the pinky finger. I was in love for this gloves for its protection & look as well.

I went to one of Pune dealer of Spartan & check the Hades gloves & seem very good. Then I came back & share with my friend as well so that he can help me out for the betterment.

After discussing with them I came to know this below review of Solace Aspire Short Gloves.

And I noticed it was similar to Aspida Hades which I wanted to purchase. But I thought it might look similar but features/padding Aspida giving it might be different. Because the price of Aspida Hades is costing Rs. 3200/- & that Solace Aspire Rs. 2550/-

I've bought the advento pants & i must say it's really a very good quality product. And I've just ridden the Mumbai g2g last weekend & I was wearing jeans inside the pants. it's quite comforting atleast in hot weather since all the sweat is absorbed by the jeans.
