Guys, i need a tailbag which can carry a large ffh helmet and can act as a pillion seat cover when empty.

The usage will be city riding, when i need to carry an additional helmet for pillion whose gonna join me in the trip. So don't want to compromise the rear seat.

I have viaterra seaty and viaterra essentials helmet bag in mind. Please suggest which one will serve the purpose better and how's the quality.

You could also try Dirtsack Shellsack, a lot cheaper than Viaterra's helmet bag.

Thanks mate but I already have a TBG jacket. I know it's good but it's heavy as well. Moreover no store in Mumbai sells it so you have to order it from Bangalore store. So anyone not willing to take a risk of size problems and returns to a different state may opt for Spartan or rynox insteade as they are very good brands as well.

I would prefer the rynox tank bag M2. It can be used as a tank bag, tail bag and backpack. It can accommodate my full face helmet and is very user friendly. The rain cover works well in storm but may tear if not handled with extra care. The rain cover is the only downside I could find in my usage experience.

I need to know more about the armours, can I upgrade them to CE level2, if yes how much will they approximately cost? Also while going through the thread i feel Sastec armours a tad better than the Knox ones,Can I upgrade or simply get the by default Sastec ones. Kindly entertain.
To tell you the truth level 2 armor is generally not required as you can see that none of the international brands offer level 2 as standard. I would say don't just upgrade immediately. Use the jacket as it it and later upgrade. The only upgrade you may check is the back armour which is a foam insert in tornado pro.

              hello mate

sas tec is better option you can just check the size of armor pocket of rynox tornado pro jacket & check with solace description given on
their website as i saw solace having two kinds of sas tec armors with different sizing
go with the combination of rynox tornado pro with sas tec level 2 armors

That will be 10k for each jacket man. Its better to go with TBG jacket or solace defender if you really want level 2 ce rated armor.

From what I understand after seeing/using the Tornado Pro, it comes with a CE certified back armour by default.

I cross-checked, Rynox mentions the same even on their website- Home page

Level 1 armour are good enough, even a 24k Revit Darcha Jacket comes with a level 1 armour. Though I do not deny thay they are not better than level 1. But that is not the only criteria.

                        Type A or Type B
Infact it is not about the level of armour always. The Sastec armours level 2 are Type A while the Knox armours Level 1 but are Type B.
Type A means lesser coverage area than Type B thus more of your impact area is exposed incase of a fall or slide.

                        Outer Shell
Further to add, it goes beyond armours, the outer shell of the jacket is the first point of contact with the surface in case of a fall and thus it needs to have high abrassion resistance.
Again brands like Revit, A-star use special fabrics like 'Super Fabric" or leather at impact zones.
Similarly Tornado Pro has Du Pont Cordura at Impact zones which has higher abrasion resistance than Nylon.

While most of the jacket have basic 600-750D polyester which has lower abrassion resistant than Nylon.

So when you are in the process of chosing a product basis its protection, include these parameters also.

                        Level
                        Type
                        Outer Layer

Also you should ponder upon this that the same armours now used in the Solace retailed at 7k+ were once offered by Mototech at 4k. So if providing Level 2 was the only criteria to add to the protection why could not all brands just opt for Sastec level 2 over Knox Level 1.

                        Hope this helped.

Can anyone suggest me a Boot for wet riding. I'm not looking forward to a riding boot. Just a boot or some sort of shoe which can be used in daily life as well as for wet rainy ride.
