Mumbai is pretty much hot-very hot all round the year so good ventilation is a must. Thats why I'm considering rjays all season as it has a lot of mesh.
Revz is another new brand. The pants seem good. Anyone try them on? Need reviews

I need one other clarification as well. A cousin recently bought the solace bravo gloves and I noticed there was no protection on the index finger as it was on the middle and ring fingers. But on all the images I've seen here and on google they show a protection on it. Was his a one off case or is it a misprint in the images?

      Thanks in advance!!
Heard a lot about solace bravo as the features are pretty good with the price tag. never used it
but tried once from my friend & the feel, protection is good with 2799 price tag

RJays All Season Pants are very solidly built and have excellent breathability, as they have mesh panels and provide ample air flow. Mine is four plus years old, still going uber-strong. Though I understand the new ones are designed a little different, just along the zips and branding. Overall they are worthy pants to have. If you have the budget, then why not.

            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Contact the store directly. They do not have dealers anywhere. I think you can pre-book a product as well. Btw the jacket is pretty heavy at approx 4-5 kg. Sizing is as per your T shirt size

                      Hi Guys

I have a query that I am hoping more experienced riders can help me with. Got myself an RTR 200 a month back and I have slowly been building up my riding gear inventory.

I have already purchased MT blade helmet, TBG Sport Full Gauntlet gloves and Zeus riding jeans. Reason for telling this is that I want to emphasize that I believe in having the best possible riding gear on me all the time (not ATGATT since lets be honest very few have the temperament to do this). I am planning to get the Solace Sprint riding jacket (upgrading all armors to Sastech level 2) within two weeks (on my roommates credit card ) and riding shoes later (still cant decide on ones which can be used daily).

The query I have now is regarding the gloves. I had purchased them a few months back before getting the bike (big mistake) and had used them for one short spin around the block kind of ride (on my roommate scooty). Since the RTR 200 is notoriously difficult to get hold of it took almost two months after booking to get my hands on the bike. Now after a month of riding the bike I have started wearing the gloves for the first time. I have worn them only twice (for total of 8kms).

The issue is that I fell the gloves are quite ill fitting for me. That is I can literally move my fingers horizontally within the finger sections of the glove (not snug on my fingers). The palm area of the glove too doesnt rest directly over my palm rather it stands up. Even the Velcro of the cuff is not able to give me a snug fit (though I was not wearing jacket at the time but i feel its too loose).

My concern is that while trying out the gloves at the shop I had liked the fit of the ones one size below mine but the owner had told me that he was getting complaints from riders about the gloves digging in to people palms and advised me to go one size up. The ones I had intended to take fit me like a gloves (which is why I liked them). My mistake was thinking that he is more experienced so perhaps I will wear them in.

Now that I am using them I feel that the glove will never fit me well and that I should have gone one size down (after all doesnt leather wear inslightly to take the shape and improve fit over time it). Could you guys let me know if the gloves are actually usable or if I try to get a replacement from Lets gear up (will they do this???) since the gloves have been used literally for less than 30 mins. Since this is my first bike and I am getting all the riding gears I am worried that I made a big mistake due to my inexperience.

I think you should get the gloves replaced with the ones which fits you. Contact the retailer ( I hope you did not remove the stickers and tag). I am actually surprised that you are looking for the jacket after you got gloves and pants. A leather gloves will open up after some time so a perfect fit will be a bit tight when purchased.

They do offer excellent protection while being under the 10k mark (the most I have seen so far in this price range). Level 2 Sas-Tec armors for elbows, shoulders and the back, combined with rain and internal liner, on top of that external shoulder protector it seems to be very promising.

Is 4-5 kg too much for such a riding jacket?

Will contact them via mail or voice-call. It is frustrating that all the good stuff/outlets are in Bangalore or somewhere in that vicinity. I would love to see the goods in person for some faith before taking the leap of fate.

Yes I did notice that. I noticed that they are worn by the PowerDrift guys (racing suits mostly by the likes of Sagar Sheldekar and his team). If it is good enough for them, it is more than good enough for me.

Check out the Rynox Advento Pant, the new ones that have come out have a ventilation mesh panel even at the back and the zip opener at the anckle also has mesh when kept open. Plus the fact that you get a knee+shin protector which is adjustable and knox hip protector just make the pant one of the most safe pants to buy with regards to protection.
And trust me you would not want a pant which has an Open-mesh panel as all the dust and dirt settles directly over you thighs and you kind of feel sticky (especially in Mumbai due to the moisture).

Experience: Six of us were riding to RM goa in Nov, on our way back a friend of mine had a fall on the amboli ghat and was pretty much into the trough at the edge, (we had to pull his bike). he was wearing an advento pant and he got up like nothing had happened to him. The only place he got bruised was above the lower back (which wa sporbably coz his jacket and pant were not attached). So, I am much confident in recommending the Advento Pant with this first hand experience.

Revz: 1 of my friend tried you got it from a store in Dahisar and he was not happy with the product due to some problem and the company never entertained him. If you want I check with him for the exact problem that he faced and get back to you. So for now stay away from this new label. (I strongly feel that these brands like Scimatar and Revz have just put thier label/printing on a design given by a manufacturer without any testing/research and are selling it in the market at cheap price, but what they don't realize is that its someone's life is at risk)

It would be great if you let me know about the issue, today i went to the same store in dahisar and checked out the pant. I liked it and am thinking of going for it as it fits well in my budget and build seemed on par with rynox and it also comes with a 1 year warranty. My size wasn't available at the store so i asked them to inform me when it arrives. Do post the experience he had with the pants.
