I face the fogging issue in my blade especially during early morning rides. Of course you could use the pinlock visor to get rid of it (or use one of those anti fogging solutions). Personally I would get the pinlock visor though since I havent used it I cant guarantee if it would work with 100% effectiveness.

Yes a pinlock visor really helps. I have a HJC IS 17 and without the pinlock the fogging is quite bad.

If you're looking for a better helmet of the two, go for Bell, they are by far the best helmets out there. Not that HJC isn't out of whack, nonetheless if you can afford Bell, go for it.

The MT, the Kranos all have visor seal leak issues, plus they fog, liken no one else's business. They leak water at the visor seal lip area above the visor where water droplets leak from the inside, during heavy rains, not a nice sight to reckon. Secondly, the visor sealing itself isn't that great on some helmets like the AXXIS and the Kranos series, wind noise just deafens you at some point above 95+. Thirdly they fog, yes they do. Pinlock is nothing but plastic inserts with coating which prevents fogging up and they work 100% of the time, all the time. But you'd need to have a pinlock visor for the pinlock strip to latch onto, else it's of no use.

              Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
              The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Fogging was regular even when riding but sometimes it doesn't fog up.

I recently bought some riding gear for myself. Have invested in a studds shifter helmet, fox gloves & elbow and knee guards. I couldn't buy a decent jacket and a better helmet because I was on a tight budget.
My question is 1- Is studds shifter a good helmet for highway riding? I regularly commute between Mysore and Bangalore. Planning on taking longer trips soon.
                      2. Is there a good riding jacket available for around 2k? I don't want to invest in that 'fox' riding jacket available online because I've heard horrible reviews about it. The elbow and knee guards are only a substitute till I can buy a good jacket.

                      Cheers,

Sorry no good riding jacket is there for 2k. A decent one costs around 4-5k. Save up and buy a decent one. Lots of good riding jackets in the price range 4-6k. Which elbow and knee guard are you using as of now?

Studds would be too noisy for highway and would wobble a lot telling from my experience

I think that depends on the size of the helmet. For me it's a perfect fit. Doesn't move at all when I'm wearing it.
Went on a ride to Bangalore wearing. Didn't really find it noisy. The visor could have been better though.

It's cheap armour I bought from a whole seller in Mysore. Nothing but plastic attached to Velcro. It's only a substitute till I can afford something better.
