Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
If you need them mostly for daily driving, then go for the short cuff ones. Easy to wear, and comfortable. I've been using the Rynox for a month now and they're absolutely perfect for City commutes and short ridesOriginally posted by hardikbhansali View PostI checked them out, they seem good. However the ryonx is out of stock. Should I settle for the short cuff ones or buy the gauntlets.:D

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
To be frank gauntlets will suit the best as the cover alot of skin area! But will be pain in the ass as i use them daily! Short cuff instead will be much sorted as we do not go above 40 or 50 KMPH in the city area or the area woth people! I hope this helps and yes. Do checkout rynox in their dealership stores as they may have the stocks! U can checkout www.openroadpune.com or www.motocentral.inOriginally posted by hardikbhansali View PostI checked them out, they seem good. However the ryonx is out of stock. Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Thanks for the inputs! But I ride through the nasty NICE road in Bangalore where speeds average out to be 80kmph. The pain in the ass part I totally get it. But if gaunlets are safer I'll take em up. Because the idea of going down on a bike which weighs 200 kilos is terrifying. Could you suggest a couple of gaunlets? I'll check them out in person if possible and if they're not too much of a cumbersome will pick them up.Originally posted by Shourya014 View PostTo be frank gauntlets will suit the best as the cover alot of skin area! Cheers!Yes, I understand that part. But if gaunlets safer then I can certainly take some time adjusting to it. As I've mentioned above, riding on NICE road as a biker is terrifying. 2 wheelers are supposed to ride on the shoulder of the road close to the kerbs, where the shoulder is supposed to be used only to park/in case of breakdown. To top it off there are cars and trucks coming on this extreme left of the shoulder and over taking from the blindside at solid triple digits. So I can really consider a good pair and build my wardrobe with a good riding jacket and a pair of boots too in a few weeks.Originally posted by Siddhanth Paul View PostIf you need them mostly for daily driving, then go for the short cuff ones. Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Well, adapting to full gauntlets isn't a big deal. To be quite frank, it's the matter of how comfortable u are with a certain type of gloves. For full gauntlets, from my personal experience, I'd suggest Cramster TRG2s or, DSG Primals. Both are comfortable, and can be used for touring as well as commuting.Originally posted by hardikbhansali View PostYes, I understand that part. Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Rynox itself imports a lot from China/Pakistan itself. Can't be manufacturing for any other brand. I doubt that.Originally posted by Siddhartha.S View PostOk, the initial impression of the Kavach(don't know the model name) riding jacket.
The quality seems to be quite good. This is my first purchase of any riding gears, so i can't judge on that yet. It has CE rated armours. It came with the tag.(dunno how true that is)
Also, the seller claimed it is the starting level jackets to get a CE rated armour. I checked the quality of the armour,it was quite good.
I went to the store with a strict budget of 4.5k. and told the seller to show in that price range itself. He showed me a few casual/riding jackets. I didn't like it much,so told him to show different products, so he told me that there is starting range with CE rated armour at 5k. (I.e kavach) then he showed me some clearance wala rynox, and told me he'll give for a good price, but didn't find my size. Then he showed me a Zeus(again dunno the model name)
And told me he would give it to me for 5k. But there was lot of dirt marks on it,as if it were used. So i did not go for it. And told him to show the Kavach jacket, and asked for a good price. And there i bought it for 4.5k. it actually looked and thenmaterial felt very similar to rynox starting range, and asked him if there's any connection with rynox and Kavach and it so happens it is manufactured by rynox.(again dunno how true). I wore it while riding home, in the heat and traffic of Bengaluru, to my surprise it did not get very hot. May be because it's a mesh jacket. Of course in the stand-still traffic it got a little hot,but not unbearable. Thats it for the initial impressions.
Will write a long term review of it after i do a long ride, and check for comfort, weather protection etc etc.
P.S: This is the first time I'm writing up a initial impressions of a product,so please excuse me for any mistakes, thank you.
But the jacket looks nice.
Very nice review ! Appreciated !Last edited by MidnightEvil Parth; 02-27-2018, 12:44 PM.

If it's made by Rynox then even better (but never know). Check if it has a made by tag or something.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Rynox has their manufacturing in India (don't know what all products) as a product of my friend had faced some issue and he had visited their factory to get it repaired. Said it was a 3 Storey building, so cannot completely deny that possibility.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostRynox itself imports a lot from China/Pakistan itself. Would recommend you to go for the Full gauntlet ones, they will be more protective. And reading your previous comments gives me an idea that you are a person to prefer safety over comfort. Besides not that full gauntlets are not comfortable, in fact, I have used both and after a few weeks you won't even come to know if you are wearing a short or full gauntlet ones.Originally posted by hardikbhansali View PostI checked them out, they seem good. Besides the short ones look too regular, the long ones look rad (some pro level stuff)!

They do have repair facility in India, what I meant is most of it is made in either China or Pakistan, same with most brands, no denying the fact.Originally posted by Pancham Hegishte View PostRynox has their manufacturing in India (don't know what all products) as a product of my friend had faced some issue and he had visited their factory to get it repaired. Look at Ixon jackets or get Scorpion EXO if someone can bring it for you from USA.Originally posted by DR@G$T€R View PostWhich is the best jacket that i can buy in the range of 12-18k
Can i get a good quality leather jacket?
Which is the best textile jacket in this range?
I am using a 11k jacket that is textile with level 2 sastec protectors on back, elbow, shoulder (type B) and also level 1 sastec on chest. You can read the review here. Do remember it's a touring fit jacket with nice big vents.

Was on a hunt for a jacket but certainly not with a similar budget. Check for Revit Jackets, they look damn cool. You may also have a look at Furygan jackets too.
Name of the Jacket- Rev'it GT-R Air Mesh (Knox Protectors) or Furygan WR-16 (D3o Protectors).
