    • @darkknight&biker_boy:I have ordered for Cramster Twist Touring Gloves from Cramster, Bangalore. They didn't have Velocity Riding pants in my size, so I'm trying to get them from Smart Designs, Mumbai, where I got my boots from. Hope for the best!
Edit1: Smart Designs has the pants in my size, so ordered for them too! Now my riding gear collection is complete!
Edit2: Cramster is offering free t-shirts for the next 50 customers, I'm getting one too!

            • hey friends, I want to know which gloves are good to ride in winters as well as summers...... and how much it will cost. My basic use is city traffic, though touring would be in possible weekends or offs.

the bare minimum necessities are a good quality full face helmet,a pair of full gloves, denims, shoes to name a few...Rest depends on how much you can afford/feel comforatable in....ideally some elbow and knee padding is of great help...Bangalore market is flooded with a variety of lids and gloves and similar other riding gears,,.....first fix your budget and then select the gears accordingly...ideally the more pading you have the better it is for you...

                  Hi Jeeva,
First&foremost you need a good crash helmet for touring. This should be snugly fit onto your head&have proper ventilation so that you don't get too hot on long rides. Please visit the helmets thread for more info.on the weight, brand options etc.
Next, you need protection. The main areas are knees&back. You have protectors which can be strapped on (like the ones cyclists use) from various brands at various prices. Please visit the DSG website www.planetdsg.com and Cramster website www.cramster.in for more info. DSG also stocks international brands.
If you do not like the pad-on type protectors, you can go for riding pants which have knee protectors inside them.
While riding, it is a foolish choice to brave the elements of weather&hence the need to be covered up not exposing the skin. Most of us use jackets which have protectors on elbows, back&shoulders. Again there are various brands&materials. Ensure the protectors though.
Next are the touring gloves, which ensure that your wrists&palms can take the long journey. They also have padding&protectors so that you don't feel the fatigue, riding takes its toll mostly on the hands.
The above 2 websites will be able to give you very good options. Please target a good helmet first.

                    Hi,

Cramster as posted in the above link.

I use a Cramster Jacket (been 2 yrs since I bought it and no complains what so ever) and Gloves..

There are some city style gloves still available with him if you rush, else he has some semi touring type gloves.

The showroom is on Cunningham Road in the same building as Casa's.
on a never ending journey... a journey of learning!!
