Cello tape and scotch tape are different. One easy way to distinguish is by looking at the finish. Cellotape has a glossy finish while scotch tape has a matte finish(atleast the 3M ones). prafultripathy and chetanpulsar use them and they never remove it from the tank.

who told?! they are same thing. Scotch tape was made by 3M and cello (cello pens) the company copied to make and indian version giving it more glossy look, called cello tape. Only thing is 3M ones are more transparent/invisible. I do not think cello tape can hold too much weight.

Checked out these riding boots at a shop in Mumbai.. I really liked them..but when asked if they are good enough in rains.. The guy said no.. They wont last long if came in contact with water.. That's why backed off...

yeah they looked and felt original.. not the best in the looks department.. but a good fit..

i saw similar ones here in bangalore.. at the yamaha show room.. only difference is that they were from alpinestar.. they were water resistant ones.. decent looking .. cost was quoted at 3500INR

anyone using STUDDS mustang tank bag...in delhi it retails for rs.370 for a smaller one and rs.450-500 for a big one..hows the make of this product...any idea?

Doesn't matter who made the original one. If you ask for scotch tape, you'll get the 3M one coz thats what it says on the box. If you ask for cellotape, you'll get the the locally made stuff. I would go for 3M. Whichever you get you're better off leaving them permanently on the tank. Other than that, you could use a thin cloth to cover the tank.

Cello tape and Scotch tape is same??? Oh pls guys. Atleast go to the stationary store and see for your self.

SCOTCH is 3m brand, and they sell cello tape under this brand. BUT, scotch tape is different. Cello tape leaves lot of residue underneath, you wouldn't want to stick it to your bike, where it may peel off the color or leave the gum behind. Scotch tape peels off very easily, leaving nothing behind. So tank is as new after removal of the tape. PLS go for scotch tape and not cello tape. Price difference is there, but it is justified.

As for the tankbag, I am using the big Mustang tank bag for 1-2 years. Quality is good, and the storage capacity is HUGE. Specially, the straps to hang the tankbag on your shoulders come in real handy. Cramster stuff though good in quality didn't appeal to me due to high cost. This mustang tank bag is perfect VFM for any tourer or even a trip to supermarket. Go for it!

Use the Scotch tape from 3M (costs abt Rs 70) for all the good reasons.

Yea i check out in Noida....But most probably I even can find in karol bagh...but let me check the price difference..then I'll buy it...and I just got to know that it has shoulder straps too..thats indeed very good(Thanks animeher)

go for foam tape they do not leave residue even on home wall, should be safe for tank, best is to avoid tapes. 3M one's are better though.
