Went to Chopra Karol bagh today and picked up
1. WLT helmet
2. Alpinestar SMX gloves

Here are the pics of my acquired riding gear
Rest of helmet pics are in "Helmets" thread. The gloves costed me 1650.

He showed me Probiker gloves for 700 too but somehow i didnt feel comfy with them. Good VFM but my eyes were sealed on the alpinestar's.

Nice helmet. However a thing about the gloves. A few months back i got similar gloves from mahalaxmi for 1.5k. He told me that they were not exactly alpinestars but of same quality. It hasn't really turned out that way for me. Do take care of the gloves and avoid it getting soiled during rains etc

The helmet rocks !! getting a new one this weekend.. will check out the range.

Thanks yaar, was a bit worried whether my fellow xhpians will like my purchase. About Mahalaxmi, i had got a verdict at Delhi G2G thread to avoid Mahalaxmi as he prices things way higher.
My gloves are Alpinestars only, even the cover is from them. Will take care in rains etc as you say.

The padding inside helmet is real good and fitting is nice.

@thechamp: A few days, and you should be just fine. I remember when I started to use my full gauntlets, I used to feel "strange", so to speak. But, eventually in a few days, this "strange" feeling just vanished for good. Now, I just CANNOT ride without those gauntlets.

As for riding jackets, at Rs.3k odd, I am not sure what is available in the market. However, the next best option ,if you can increase your budget is the DSG Falcon, which is priced at Rs.4,500/-. However, I have no idea about the quality and the durability of this. However, do check THIS link to see how the jacket actually looks.

P.S: I am using a Crasmter Pulse since the last few months, and it is tremendously comfortable, has GOOD, solid protection all around and is priced at Rs.5,200/- odd. Good value for money, and even better for the North-India winters!

hey aryan.. did you do some research about Cramster Pulse Vs. K2K? I was also planning to buy one of them.. but not sure why K2K is 500 bucks dearer..

how do saddle bags work? do you need to balance both sides of it, or something that can be fitted on saree guard? i saw one on getoffurass.com. Also are there any tailbags which can be used with pillion rider?

In JC Road bylanes you'll get a variety of Probiker ones.. Ranging from 1k to 2k..

Probiker gloves have the highest asking price in Bangalore. In fact it is more than double of what we pay here and thats absolutely insane. the highest price for a Probiker i heard in JC road was 1600/- but actually costs not more than 500/-

Hi,

I am going to order Cramster Breezer 2.0 Mesh Jacket for normal use as I am belong from Hot/Humid place in the Eastern region.

My question is,

1. Is it washable(water/soap) ? my preferable one is silver which is display in website.
2. Is it usable in city/highway for casual drive ? I mean how weighty it is ?
3. Is it look odd ? I mean ppl laugh at me.

I didn't use such things earlier...please suggest.
