I found a really nice article on Use of Ear Plugs.

And I am now quite convinced that Ear Plugs are a necessity.

Is this the one you use?
If one orders online, the minimum order quantity is 5 (INR 15x5 = INR 75), & the courier charges are INR 100.
Since it is B'lore based, thought I will give them a quick call & personally drop down to collect it.
They said they will get back on availability. Lets see.

EDIT: They said they have 6 pairs only as of now. I have blocked all 6 of them (before a non-xBhpian picks it ), 3 being for me.
Let me know if any of you want to pick these.

Praful has HUGE ears! it takes a while for him to wake up from his slumber (and finish the blog! ... Speaking of which I know another incomplete blog out there! )

And I find that the softness of the foam goes away after removing it 3-4 times. Gets worse if you riding in the rain. So if I'm on a 6-7 day ride, I'm probably going to go through 20 pairs.

But it's a damn good buy, because the other lesser known brands are cheaper, but aren't as good.

I don't think Guru has any with him, because somehow I always seem to run out of fresh plugs whenever he crashes at my place.

Thanks for the offer - I still have around 150 pairs of earplugs left in my stock. But since I wear them almost everyday, I will run through them in a year or so.

I don't know how the 3M ones are, but good quality foam earplugs will last a weeks ride easy. It seems that the 3M ones are the low density foam ones which lose their resilience quick. I use AOsafety ones which are made of a much denser foam and last indefinitely.

The problem with wearing earplugs on a trans-state ride is not the compression but it gets dirty due to the windblast.

Not going to be a problem on the state highways of Karnataka, because the roads will ensure you won't be going fast enough to face windblast
