dont know much about the replicas but i personally have used both and even have witnessed people having crashes with each...injuries and damage being less for the guys using axo...

both cant handle the damage done in event of a very big crash(for that matter no other guards can if good luck doesnt play its part)...but what i want to add is in event of any crash the AXO will definitely avoid hold on better than the FOX...even the impact sustaining capabilities are better than the FOX..

FOX raptor are harder than AXO which increases the probability of them cracking(yes this has happened)...

FOX standard can only protect the knees and the upper shin...the AXOs cover more area than the FOX...
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

How do these provide impact protection? It looks like an elastic sleeve over the knee without the "cup". Pardon my ignorance.

Adi - the sleeve houses an armored moulded "cup" which is not visible in the picture. The sleeve is merely a method by which the armor is kept in place on the knee. It is very firm and does not slide or get out of position unless you (with some difficulty) try to move it, after removing the restraining straps.

As for the impact protection capabilities, the manufacturer claims CE certification impact protection Level 1 & 2 for his various products, apart from independent Satra standards conformity.

This armor is also the authorized upgrade armor for Draggin Jeans in the UK. Do click on and read the link in my first post - I'm sure you'll find it interesting reading.

May I suggest the range of Australian gloves from RJays to add to the confusion LOL

if you are picking it up from Mr. Bhavishya, i can assure you from my experience atleast, he will be in touch with you throughout to confirm that you are happy with his product. That is something which i think is a USP for a seller like him and makes one come back to him for more. Enough has been said about him on this thread beforehand so back end support from his side should not be a problem.

I am sure you won't regret it.

                Cheers

thanks bro and sure i am picking it from Mr.Bhavishya ..Within this short period of time i understood about his care for his customers which lack from several local dealers here ... and i thank you wholeheartedly for your inspiration and support ...

                  • From my experience with riding gear and going by how the RJay's collections looks, the RJay's Tempest 2, Tornado and H20 look suitable for touring. The rest seem to be track/street oriented gloves.

I would suggest Tempest 2 for touring purposes.
