Thanks a lot man...Originally posted by jvh View PostWhat I have observed is that the duties more or less turn out to be similar to the shipping you are paying or probably lesser. For instance, for 2 products (including a jacket), I've paid around 60 - 80% of the shipping costs at the post office. But there is a website ( guess Aditya posted it in this very thread) which gives some calculations. You may want to check that to confirm.
However, the best way anytime would be to ship it to somebody you know in that country and request him to bring along. With that you can strike great bargains with close outs. There is another online store - ridersdiscount which charges a flat $25 for shipping and no duties because they are sent as gifts
. But they don't have all the brands and are slightly on the expensive side (which you can compensate by not paying duties). Do the research in your own sweet time and take the plunge. Also, try sizes in local stores before ordering. Call the store before you order and re-confirm on the size.
I too was thinking of getting it from a friend but was not sure of his plan of coming.BTW the site you and @n_aditya have shared gives you the right idea of duty and shipping you will have to incur. Thanks
The other site RIDERS DISCOUNT: Motorcycle Accessories, Motorcycle Helmets & Gear is also great. Great prices
Thanks for the share and hopefully i get my gears earlier than anticipated....sigpic

I have been using a SP2 since long, and now am looking to buy my second pair.
The only bad thing about SP2 is that then you would never want to go back to the DSG primal! Guilty.Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Sir,
I would like to know that in terms of protection, which are the best DSG Gloves? Would it be Primal or Carbon? I have the budget for both now, and Primal seems to have better specs with Carbon Fibre protectors, and excellent fabric. But why is Primal priced lower than Carbon?
About the jacket, Maze should be fine but again, for accident protection only, which is better? Maze or Pheonix?
Thirdly, what performance accessories does DSG have for my Pulsar 180 UG3, except for K&N Air/Oil Filters?
I mean, what brake pads, clutch plates, aftermarket exhausts, etc. would fit my bike? Planetdsg.com doesn't mention much about compatibility.
Please clear up my confusion. I never bought gears before, and I want this decision to be good.---

Protection is better in Phoenix as compared to Maze.

^ I will get the Pheonix.
So, you mean Primal is the better glove out of Primal and Carbon in terms of protection, is it?
And what about accessories for my Pulsar 180 UG3? You didn't mention a word about it?Last edited by Samarth 619; 04-03-2011, 11:30 PM.---

last saturday, i made a sudden plan to tour, so had no time to go to mumbai for purchases and i required a tank bag urgently, so purchased one from cramster, pune. the bag seems to be ok, in terms of quality. did a small tour with it.
however there is a problem with its design. the left and right side pockets, hits the handle bar switches in sharp u-turns and turns on either indicators or head light, depending on which side it is touching. tried mounting it as far away from handlebar as was possible, but that only reduced the problem, but it still is.
anybody else using cramster magnetic tank top bags.....facing similar problem??

Other than the filter, we have iridium plugs for your bike. EBC brakepads are superior in quality and will damage your brake disk during use.
You'll end up changing your disk in future rather than pads.
For summer heat, opt for S-MX2 Air Carbon and T-Stunt combination for of your choice of productsOriginally posted by nrinside View PostHey guys ,

hi
i need suggestions for riding gear, but i have a very tight budget constraint since i am 18 years old and plan to save my pocket money to buy the gear.
i ride a p220f.
as of now i have
a pair of chindi knighthood gloves (250 Rs- bought from A.M helmets)
a thick riding jacket thats too small for me (got as gift 2 years back)
a helmet that came with the bike (the shitty blue and black kimi helmet bajaj gives with the bikes)
i plan to buy a vega boolean tattoo skull graphic this week itself.
i need advice on what i can manage to get in a jacket (under 2000 preferable, stretchable to 3000Rs)
and gloves under 1000Rs.
i know i cant afford to be brand conscious at all with this price range.
i am sorry these are not the kind of suggestions u people are used to giving, but please try to understand that unlike most people here,i do not earn.
thanks

Dont go for Vega boolean helmets, instead of that go for cross helmets you get a good one around 2000/- Rs rangeOriginally posted by ka600 View Posthi

For gloves try cramster MX3, though they are not full gauntlet but a good deal in 1400.
A riding jacket will cot you approx 5500/- from Dsg, also check out out cramster jackets.
Dont go for cheap jackets as they wont give you safety, i would recommend you to buy axo knee guards and elbow guards set from pro biker in 1000/- as my friend recently bought it which you can wear over your thick denim jacket or inside it if your jacket is a bit loose.Last edited by shrinathrao; 04-06-2011, 05:22 PM.
