  • Hi Guys,
    Need help.
My friend is on a trip to UK. I want to get a pair of gloves from there. There are two sites which are coming up while searching. thebikestore.co.uk & sportsbikeshop.co.uk. Anyone having experience of getting stuff from these two sites???
    I am geting Duchinni Black D701 for Rs 3300 approx & HJC CS-12 Cyclone Rs 7400 (XXL - 63 64).

Please share your inputs. I would also like to know that if the weight is within the permissible limit, will it still attract duty?

Bike was on the road and I put my feet on the shoulder of the road which was very deep. Lost the balance as the depth was longer than my leg could reach. Bike got tumbled and my tests hit the tank. Another thing is when I apply brake (more pressure on front brake) my back slips slightly. I sit my back erect, leaning slightly forward, keeping myself 2 -3 inches away from the tank. So I doubt on a direct collision it will be disastrous. Now, I'm using a twister. And going to get a pulsar200ns whose tank design is vertical. And I pray that not even my enemies get that kind of pain which I suffered.
What the pillow thing ? Hope you know I was kidding there

And about braking always use the front and rear brakes together for better braking..

P.S. 200NS ?! You better learn to balance a bike before you get it..else trust me you definitely will be having a hard time Goti Goti Goti !

      • Bought myself a Rjays octane (red/black) jacket from bachoo motors yesterday. Havent tried it on a ride yet. But the fit is awesome. My only concern now is, it tag mentions "Made in China". Guys who use Rjays or have compared, can you please comment on it?? Is it a matter of concern or is it the way it should be. I really cannot judge it since its my first armoured jacket and i do wish to use it for a long while. Will confirm the same from Zulfi, but need your inputs as well.
You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

I got a Rjays-Swift in Jan-2012. I has 'Made in Pakistan' tag. Doesn't matter much as the fit/finish is good.

Previously all were made in Pakistan and now most of them Made in China...you dont have to worry until and unless the armour is CE approved...remove it and check it..

            • Just bought the following from Meandering India, Vasant Kunj.
              1. DSG Nero Jacket
              2. DSG Revive Gloves
              3. Scoyco K07 Knee Protectors

All in anticipation of my Duke delivery. I'd read good reviews about the jacket and gloves. Any comments/suggestions from users would be most welcome.

              • Knee Guard Help

                Hello,

Any recommendations for knee guards for tall people. I am six feet two with 16 inch calves. I've read that these things are mostly universal size. Not sure if that is possible. Recommendations would be much appreciated.

Strictly speaking from the point of a knee guard, your height should not be an issue, since the knee itself can only be slightly larger or smaller depending on your build. I've not come across anyone who couldn't wear a knee guard that is universal size.

That said, your concern seems to be the length of the lower portion of the guard that extends to provide some cover for the shins. This definitely changes depending on the length of the rider's legs. The longest shin guards that I have come across in my experience is the ICON Field Armor knee guards. I think these have been replaced now by ICON with the Stryker series. I've used these too and found them very good, though not as long as the earlier type.

My advice is to supplement shin protection with a good pair of armored riding boots that come up to at least mid-shin. This should bridge the gap between the knee protection and the ankle suitably and with a pair of riding pants on top - voila!

                  Hope this helps!

DSG Revive Gloves - 1,990.00Rs all the way; 16K kms on my CBR & about 2-3K kms on my Rx; hardly worn out though.

Most ppl from KL buy the Crapster from Autoqueen EKM; I'd rather prefer something from PlanetDSG, Bachoo Motors or Performance Racing Store. Whatever you buy, remember to buy ONLY a mesh jacket that comes with removable inner lining.

But Rjays also available for same price, rjays are more assurance in qulity right ? So what would you suggest ?

                          • ^^^ If you can afford RJAYs Octane, nothing like it. Search this thread on Triton's review, I've no clue on it. Personally, I haven't seen RJAY's product though I hear its a better quality than PlanetDSG.

Itll be a while till i build up the cash for the jacket, Octane cost nearly 7.6k but then Rjays jetstream is on special offer of 7.9k which is 8.9k in original price. Streching the budget equals more waiting.
Any particular reason you said about the removable mesh lining ?
