I heard bad things from people who bought the original pre release version either from dealers or direct download from eastore. they say that the graphics are not even upto the mark of nfs mw.

I just dont get it.How can half the people say the game is okay and half say it's an epic fail?
I think I have to get my hands on this one to find out.
Edit: I just noticed going through various forums,that most of the people with Nvidia are complaining about the graphics and lags while those with Ati say it's fine.Weird.

@torque: look at one simple fact.if you have "enough" moolah to spend some 3k on a single GAME title to fully support ga ga of it PS3 is the name.

if you dont have moolah,want to shift to console gaming and want cheap games..price wise..XBOX 360 is the name.if you your dealer who gives "oringal" not original,you can ask him for a 360 along with the modded one.i think its better to take from those chaps and have the mod fitted by pros.warranty issues can also be taken care of.they are champs in that.

PC upgrade is the name if u want to stick to PC format.check tomshardware for latest reviews and rankings of motherboards.gigabyte ASUS ABIT even NVIDIA motherboards do good.


the undercover that we find on the net which is torrented is not a prerelease but a CLONE DVD.the actual releasers do not publish out prereleases unless its highly priced..say example WINDOWS 7 PRE BETA.if they release prerelease stuff,their rating in the torrent world is bound to decline.
time and again i have said that site reviews are PAID by companies.simple example say on any game site you see a huge banner of EA.how can that site write negative??ya ya..freedom of speech..but its business baby.

reminds of the time when the much awaited Assassins Creed was stolen from a developer website and launched in the grey market. Everything worked fine until you tried to enter Jerusalem. Then the game crashed. Then there was a german fix that fixed it but the rest of the game had to be played in German?

Better wait for the Original title to come out, then of course the Rips...

I need help regarding buying a graphics card for my pc.
I am planning for Nvidia 8800 GT .
Wat do u Gaming gurus have to say ? plz lemme kno am very new to PC gaming as i was using PS2 for almost 4 years now, but now most of the good games dont come out on PS2.

PS : plz suggest the estmate cost for the card u guys suggest and also of 8800 GT.

8800GT is still a fantastic GPU. Plus, its coming with 512MB of DDR3 vRAM and 112 shader processors with 1.2Ghz+ frequency!
As for prices yes its still in between 9-10K here in delhi. However, be very conscious while choosing the brand. If possible go with either XFX/MSI/Palit.
Btw, there is another and a better option. Nvidia 9800GT from Palit is available for just 8500/- at NP!
Two advantages: 9-series architecture and secondly, better overclocking due to 65nm process!

@chilled: What kind of games do you like to play? I am not sure the 8800GT would run the latest games (especially the First Person Shooters) with all the bells and whistels turned to the max. That said, it is a pretty good card if you don't believe in cramming up all the settings available in a game to the maximum.

From COD4, TC: Ghost Recon 2, TC: Las Vegas, Stalker:SOC/CS, GOW, Far Cry2 to racing games like Grid, NFS:Carbon...8800GT/9800GT is able to run them with every single detail cranked on.
Crysis on the other hand has plethora of issues with every other GPUs in the market.
Plus, 8800GT can push 30+ framerates even with AF enabled @ 1024 resolution. So, no problemo!

@avancy thanks for reply, this is one of my main concerns that is spending so much on original games.I hope some crack of PS3 comes out soon so that we can play "P" games on it.
Also since some of you have suggested to wait for PS3 80GB to get launched so rite now i am playing the waiting game.

havent tried dead space. but avp is good.

personally, my scariest experience was playing gears of war on xBox360 with 5.1 speakers. the sequence when 'creatures' popin frm anywhere; you cant see them at first but you can hear them scream. and the sound is real scary mate!

NFS: would really appreciate a good report of nfs undercover.
i would go for xbox originals again anyways. was big time disappointed with prostreet. i still havnt completed the game. hope this turns out good...

@nightwing: Dead Space sure is a bloody good game. In recent memory, I don't have any game that can scare and get your adrenaline pumping as much as Dead Space! Give it a try, I say.. I am loving it..

Check this vid out. Its from FEAR Extraction Point. I agree that this is one of the scariest moments. Especially in a 19 inch wide screen with 5.1 speakers. But you know whats really messed up....this guy's reaction ROTFLMAO!!!!
