Is there any place in bangalore where fuels can be tested ?

im trying to collect samples from some pumps which seem to have adulteration (im fed up with the inconsistent kmpl figures on my bike now).

the fuel i took yesterday seems to have residual matter (black-gray sticky matter) and its clogging the fuel - leadout from the tank (aka the fuel knob) , opened the knob bottom and flushed the fuel out.

what could be this black sticky matter :?

I read in the Economic Times that the Private oil companies are going to cut the fuel price more due to the falling crude oil prices internationally. Could anybody tell me, what are the prices currently at Shell and Reliance?

Not sure about reliance.. Shell super petrol is Rs 58.95 in Hyderabad... just 2 months back it was Rs 73.95

In Chennai, Shell's Super unleaded petrol was Rs 57.95 per liter when I filled yesterday.

Thanks dude! Seems they have not reduced the prices further. Aren't they selling normal unleaded petrol? What is the price of the normal petrol at shell?

They are not allowed to sell the normal petrol thats what the guy working in shell told me.. They sell only Super and in bangalore it costs Rs.59.95 (Bata Rate )

Damn.. the Shell scene was really very bad.. there is a Shell petrol bunk near my house n i had never seen a queue or crowd there when it was Rs 74/- .. hope they make up for the loss now.. the petrol is really good...
