Please post some details of the deal so that it can serve as a pointer to other members reading.
How many owners, how much has it run, what size piston is it running on, are OE parts retained, etc. I see a disc brake there. Is it in working condition? That mod alone costs ~8-12k.
Unfortunately, that pic isn't that of fresh strawberries for viewers to just see and enjoy
Little more information from your side would contextualize that picture better

Whats the year of manufacture of the bike?
On workshop manual its shown 2 oversize(.25 &.5). Again the last oversize is 1 mm. So total 3.
You might get some local cheap pistons for (.75mm) oversize and even (1.15mm). Then total will come to 4 or 5.Happy & Safe Riding to All

You can rebore upto four sizes .25,.50,.75 and 1 mm pistons and after that you can sleeve the bore and again start from standard size bore.....
We found a RX 135 in Karnataka running on 8th over size piston ie 2mm piston.... Don't know how they got 2mm pistons in the market....Yamaha RX100 (1993)
Yamaha RX135 (2000)
Bajaj Pulsar 150 (2004)
Yamaha FZ-25 (2017)

I couldnt find mahle(Goetze) pistons of .75mm Oversize when I was rebuilding my RX. You only get some local cheap Pistons of that size. All spare parts shops told me the same thing.Originally posted by Dinesh.P View PostPorting is different from Reboring....

Are you sure they using 135 block or any other imported block? 2mm bore wont be possible on a 135 block. 1.5mm itself is a big risk.Happy & Safe Riding to All

Senior Members, I have finally decided to do the decarbing of the Head and the silencer of my Suzuki Samurai myself. The last time this was done was more than 12,000 kms ago. I know a bit of how to take the things apart, but would want your suggestions about how to clean the ports in a proper way and also do I use any sealant for the head gasket ( metal) and the rubber ring gasket ( looks like a very large O ring more like a micro hawkin pressure cooker gasket).

Re: Two Stroke (2-Stroke) Problems/ Help Thread
Gentlemen some pointers please(1996 rx100 bone stock):
There are only three problems with my motorcycle.
1. If from start I try to engage first gear, on releasing clutch there is a loud clattering sound ONLY if the RPM is not idling. In case I engage first gear at standstill at idling RPM or close to it there is no such sound.*
2.* During the first start of the day the first gear engages with a jerk, occasionally stalling the engine. There is no problem in subsequent engagement of first gear in later starts, provided it is done close to idling.
3.* The last one is funny. My bike consistently starts on third kick with choke, and I have to tilt it slightly to the right for a moment as soon as the engine starts, or the engine stalls. Also, I make it a point to idle the engine after start for 10 to 15 seconds before starting off, but the engine grumbles for the first 200 m or so. Thereafter the operation is butter smooth. Subsequent starts of the bike are perfectly normal so long as not done after a long interval, in which case I have to repeat the drill.
To aid you : My jet needle circlip is set to second position from bottom. I run factory standard carburettor and jets. I have tried setting the pilot air screw to fairly rich positions* but no avail. The carb with jets is gently cleaned once every three months in routine servicing. I use Motomix 2t through the autolube pump plus 30 ml to every tankfull and Motul 3100 20W50 in the transmission. The plug inspection reveals a perfect light tan colour without any pitting or damage* to electrodes. The bike gives an average of 30 to 35. Max speed is 100 kph.
I am running a stock non rebored cylinder and standard piston. Bike has done only 28000 km as the cylinder and piston kit was replaced in 2006 in YASS in banglore due to an engine seizure brought about because I loaned it to a friend for four weeks who ran it without 2t oil. I have since taken care of the bike and run in was done properly with varying engine speeds without overspeeding the engine. Subsequent use has been moderate, and servicings regular.
I have posted this ques in other thread but no response except one. So am posting again here hoping to come to notice of experienced members.Last edited by shaanbirdman; 08-06-2013, 02:32 PM.

Hi Shaan, I have a 1999 Suzuki Samurai that has done 68,000kms. The 2nd and 3rd problems your bike seems to have are similar to my bikes problems as well.
I am told I need to get the carb intake manifold and the Carb jets replaced to get the problem resolved. I am not using the bike much and should be updating the thread when I get the parts replaced/tweaked. Keep us posted with your updates

Re: Two Stroke (2-Stroke) Problems/ Help Thread
Shaanbirdman, the problem that you face as said in 1 & 2 points are very normal and nit to worry. Try engaging first gear and push forward by pressing clutch. It would release as if its holding something inside. Then turn on ignition and start the bike, should start in couple of kicks and the first gear shifts smoothly.
