Hi Guys,
I have attached 2 pics of my stock 117.5 jet and the ZMA's 125 sized jet. However, i feel that they look they same in diameter.
Is it just a feeling or do they really have a difference? i am confused.
Could someone explain what the splitfire cables are? The pros and cons? Or in case if it has been discussed already, could I be re-directed to that?
PS: The newer looking jet is the ZMA's jet which my P180UGIII is running on now after the RC1060.
I have posted these questions on another thread related to AIR FILTERS.

did you change only main jet after k&n filter or did you even change jet needle as i have never seen plp talking abt this topic as it is the main part which affects the bikeOriginally posted by Coplay@180 View PostHi Guys,

Hi guys,
I have another Air filter query.
I have attached two pics of my air filter.
Query on Picture 1:
Is the air filter fixed properly? The filter box had been cut off partially( drawn in Yellow) and the filter plonked in and connected to the hose from the carb.
Query on picture 2:
1. I have colored the cut off portion grey. What will happen if I cover the cut off portion( with some plastic) now and fix the long Rectangular part also. Meaning, what if i cover the air filter box now. i.e, The air will come in only from under the seat.
The air flow is lesser than the existing setup
so,
1. will the sound reduce? and does the carb need to be re-tuned for this AF mixture?
2. Will the jets have to be changed back to stock?
3. Will the air flow be the same as that of the stock foam filter?
please advice and let me know as much as possible.
PS: please excuse the picture quality. That's all what my nokia 5800XM could deliver.Never Argue with an Idiot !!!

yup its fixed decently. but make sure there is no gap between the pipe and the filter joints, cuz if there is air will just go in through there.Originally posted by Coplay@180 View PostHi guys,

putting the cover back on will only defeat your initial purpose intended for the filter. ie the sound will reduce and with that the sense of acceleration . although it will have a low base grunt which i like.
About the airflow.. it will remain the same as long as you dont replace the stock filter.
i have played around with different cuts and methods for different sounds.
