but as far as i know ZMR's parts are costly and availability is low but practically its the best touring bike, u can go from Kanyakumari to kashmir without any problems if the bike is well maintained.

i have ZMR, i am in mum nd my home town is nashik (350(to and fro) km frm mum), i visit nashik every fortnight, frm last month in each weekend, impressed wid its touring capabilities as Karizma is known for. No back pain, No shoulder pain.

About mileage both bikes r premium bikes, so regarding mileage u will definately get in between 30 to 45. dese bikes r for performance bikes, so its natural dat its mileage will be low.

Check out for ZMR waiting period in ur city. my advice go for ZMR as of my experience, my bike has done almost 3000, out of which 2900 is only touring.

As per maintenance part, ZMR is always preferable.

Thanx guyz for your valuable feedback
@dhiraj and what to think about performance of your machine??
can it maintain triple digit speeds on long journeys and how is the handling in the tight alleys and U-turn radius?
Men who still dream of being a pilot or an astronaut are yet to ride a motorcycle.

i have maintained 125kmph speed almost for 10 min continously, nd i am crusining mostly at a speed of 80-100kmph whnever i am on highway, nd maintaining of triple digit speed of ur machine is depends on lot of factors, our roads r nt dat clean nd clear to maintain such speed for long time.

Handling :- No not all issue regarding handling it in tight alleys nd U Turn radius, as my office is almost 5km frm my home, and u known abt d mumbai traffic in office hour in morning, though ZMR looks like it is a heavy bike...but believe me whn u ride it cut nd through in traffic it satisfy u mre than 100%. it rides smoothly in traffic nd u turn easily as nrml bikes.

ZMR has full fairing it is having some vibrations noise mostly in techometer area, but it can b get fixed in service centre.

And when commuting in city do you atleast get 35-40kmpl?
              and how is the acceleration?
can it leave the likes of p180 and rtr180 eating dust?

yep u can get 35-40 kmpl, but mostly depends on ur riding skills, if u r gud rider it may give u abve 40 too.

Acceleration is gud, but hve issue whn it comes picking up in 2nd gear, but afterwards it is smooth.

Dnt known abt P180 nd rtr180, as i hve never tried hands on both of dem

buddy just kidding... Plz don't mind

i would suggest you to go with a R15 which will be perfect for ur recommendations but as of mileage its a bit low but if you consider a Apache i don't like the because of its tendency to vibe a lot and moreover i think its not as reliable as a R15. you can even try the new ZMR or even a Ninja but i haven't drove them, but as of ZMR the parts are very costly my R15 side fairing costed me 700.00 where as my friends side fairing of his ZMR costed him around 5000.00
that's not correct, even i changed the fairing of my bike(ZMR) after an accident & it wasn't that costly, whole cost including change of wheel alloy, handle bar, "T", fairing, indicator assembly n other things as well was around 2k & are you kidding by saying that R15 side fairing costs 700bucks??

                        What????
2 k for all the above things??? dude, the alloy alone costs you more than 3k leave alone other things. Are u kidding or what???
The ZMR is the most costliest to maintain among the mentioned bikes, right from its fairing to clutch plates to alloys, everything is much costlier than other bikes in the category, ya and not to forget the disc pads

If u leave the comfort factor then P220 beats the above mentioned bikes in a good margin, the power is raw, the grunt is good, parts are cheaper but ya looks are not so good.. The choice is of thread starter!!!

To be more precise, the left fairing piece is Rs.700 & & right piece is Rs.800. Bangalore price.(I'm still wondering why the difference of Rs.100 )

                            thats too much ya
and what about regular parts like disk pads which will be changed every 10k kms? are they costly too?

^falls on bikes with fairing / half fairing / heavy plastic bikes bikes always tend to be expensive.

no. a fall won't cost you 3 grand. unless u intend on falling on both sides.

a fall will cost about 1800-2000 tho...
                                taking into consideration...
one side panel, one RVM, handlebar, clutch/braker lever, one indicator.

a crash will cost you upwards of 4 grand tho.
and if you need to replace the headlights... add 2200.
                                .
