2 k for all the above things??? dude, the alloy alone costs you more than 3k leave alone other things. Are u kidding or what???
The ZMR is the most costliest to maintain among the mentioned bikes, right from its fairing to clutch plates to alloys, everything is much costlier than other bikes in the category, ya and not to forget the disc pads

If u leave the comfort factor then P220 beats the above mentioned bikes in a good margin, the power is raw, the grunt is good, parts are cheaper but ya looks are not so good.. The choice is of thread starter!!!
by 2k i meant the amount i paid after claiming insurance, total bill was around 6k..i have bill with whole list of things which got changed..it was kinda a major accident so spending 2k after that accident didn't create any hole on my pocket..

i don't know how people consider a bike as cheaper or costlier while maintaining?? leave apart the accident thing & apart from that i didn't even spent a single rupee on my bike as there isn't any problem i faced..even service charges cost around 250bucks which is quiet cheaper when i compare it with the cost my friend pay while servicing his R15 which is around or over 1k ..costlier parts doesn't mean its costly to maintain cuz for an e.g if you are buying a part @ 1000/- n it'll last for a yr & along side you are buying same part for another bike in 250/- but then change it 4-5 times in a year then it doesn't make any sense to me atleast(i am not talking about any specific bike..just giving an example)..

So you say that every fall will cost me >3k ?
        thats too much ya
and what about regular parts like disk pads which will be changed every 10k kms? are they costly too?
a slight fall won't cost you that much & talking about disc pads, new ZMR's disc pads at HH center cost 1k(which still is costlier then other bikes but its much cheaper then ZMA's disc pads)..new disc pads are of good quality as well..i've also attached few pics of new disc pads of ZMR which were clicked by "Mohsin" a.k.a "worrisomebear"..these disc pads are made by Nissin as well..

Oil is whatever you fancy, Rs 200/400/800

Oil filter/air filter/spark plug require a change every 10,000kms and cost Rs. 430/~200/~150 approx.

I don't see anyone having any qualms spending 1000 bucks every 10,000 kms.

What is the service cost of a ZMR? Every 10,000kms?

Brake pads cost Rs 300 for front, Karizma Rs.2200, so all you save, go down the drain. As a brake-pad is a part of consumable item.

Anyone can quote that I heard this on internet which isn't true.

And chain lubing? Rs.200? Get a tooth brush, diesel/kerosene 1/2 liter and work on your own.

Edit-- Is there a difference between ZMR and Karizma-R front disc set up?

i've done around 6k km & 3 services only so can't comment on it as of now but will post it here after completing 10k km..

nope, both are same..HH is providing these disc pads, as even i've inquired it from SVC guys regarding my ZMR, which are cheaper in price but are of same built quality & same maker
            answers are in bold..

Sheelpriye,ZMA disc pads are now costing some Rs.~1000( i consider it as good news)

@Bold- 'm also interested in knowing this

OT: i am running on RTR disc pads on ZMA, not happy with breaking.Gonna change back to OEM.. Just a query, if i install ZMA pads on RTR will i get better braking? or its the brake cylinder doing all the majic?

till 6k km on odometer..I've spent around 750/- only on three services..didn't even spent a single penny more on it(obviously apart from that 2k i spent on that fall which was unfortunate )

going OT for a reply but i wasn't racing on streets..as m strictly against it..it happened cuz a rider lost his balance & a car going behind steered right & pressed brakes & i was on its righter side..

Hey could you guyz tell me if r15 would be too uncomfy for a 6ft tall guy?
i test rode the bike today and loved the refined power and the higher rpm experience was god-like...
but i am concerned that it would give me back aches or not..
test drive was short so couldn't decide...
                          help me out guyz...

Well, if you're 6ft tall, forget it. You'll regret your decision if you choose r15. You'll face many problems later on. One of my friends is 5ft 10inc and he still says he is facing many problems due to the seating position of r15. ZMR is good for you, otherwise, you can choose pulsar 220f. Pulsar 220f is not very comfortable in comparison to ZMR but offers good performance. You can take a test ride of both these bikes and decide. All the best...

for a short distance, not much bikes would feel awfully uncomfortable but only after some time while sitting like that you can feel the difference..its a know fact that you can sit straightly more comfortably then in a leaning position for longer period..leaning position surely feels sportier but specially for a 6 ft tall guy, its quiet bad for your spine on a longer run..

if you are tall & sitting on a shorter bike then for sure you'll need to bend your back a bit more, no matter what anyone will say..a physiotherapist can explain it better then a biker..you can ask this yourself to a physio..
