Stunner, No one likes it (Everyone was making fun of me, and especially my best friend - She said "Buy something Manly, not this toy piece"), I liked it because of the looks (i don't know how others didn't like it) and the claimed, pick up, mileage etc.. (never rode it).

Dazzler i tried to like it alot but miserably failed! All other bikes from Honda are meant for uncles.

But still even after all this, i had been to book it. But showroom was closed and moreover on the way i showed some Stunners to mom, she started hating the bike. So she told me to go for Royal Enfield.
Contradictory statements. You said you liked the Stunner, but the timings of Honda showroom did put you off. Now you say, you never rode the Stunner and you did not like Dazzler.

Regarding the timings, they are also employees working in timings and everyone likes to work in specified timings. Put yourself in their shoes.

I feel you are still confused. You still do not exactly know what you are expecting from the bike. Do not think about what others think about your bike. People have different opinions and talk as they like. There is no bike that everybody likes. Sort your priorities and select a bike the suits your needs. Take a test ride and buy the one that 'you' like and suits 'your' needs.

Also, do not try to like a bike.

I had never rode a Stunner, All i liked was it's Styling, Shape, claimed mileage, claimed pick up and HONDA brand that's why i was going to buy it.

But god is great, he had bigger plans for me (Thunderbird)! So he shut the showroom!

I don't give a damn about their timings now

      • I don't know why, something inside me is refusing to accept Thunderbird.

I Read it's ownership experiences thread and it's full of complaints :-(

I know that's why i rejected Thunderbird for a Stunner!

I rejected a 1.5 lakh 350cc thumper cruiser for a 125cc :-D! Don't ask me why! But i don't know why, i'm feeling so happy, so much contented, peace of mind! Which i had lost!

                    • You better buy a small good-looking bike (as you are a college goer) which is easy on pocket. Get some riding experience (first, get your DL, if you do not have one), get to know about bikes, and then buy a bigger one later. You are just like a 'jumping gene' now; you have considered almost all the bikes available in India (except imported).

Exactly! I did a Phd on all the bikes available in India, i'm sure if you were to take a test then i would get distinction :-D

I didn't reject Thunderbird for it is expensive or heavy or something, i rejected it because it was not the bike for me (i respect it a lot though). It's just, that bike isn't meant for me, my preferences differ.

And from my Phd on bikes i learnt that choosing a bike is like choosing a wife literally. Every bike out there is good infact awesome, they have their own pros and cons and every bike is made for someone, not for everyone like gearless scooters.

Choosing between Thunderbird and Stunner was like choosing between an arrange marriage with a extremely Rich, Beautiful queen and a Love marriage with your Best friend. I initially chose the queen but i lost peace of mind, happiness, but now i got it back after choosing a love marriage with a best friend :-D

                        • I considered every bike available (manufactured) in India - right from Splendor, Passion Pro, Discover 100 till P220, R15, CBR250R, Thunderbird.

But it all finally came to what my heart said - Stunner! Mind had okay'd thunderbird sacrificing happiness.

My mom had said never sell thunderbird and i had said yes (i was skeptic about that and not content) and my heart always said never sell Stunner and i scream YES! :-D

                          • If you are buying Stunner, I would advise you to go for the FI version, even if it is expensive. It has better looks, lesser vibrations, better rollon timings, better speeds in each gear, more FE, and lesser emissions.

No Fi looks tiny and no graphics. The 2010 carb stunner is my choice. I can do a lil mod and get the performance of Fi (sprocket, spark plug, jetting etc..) btw no discount for lesser emmissions.

                              • Booked a Red Stunner (2 hours ago).

When i went there and asked about booking the Stunner, the demo guy was like "Take twister, it gives a good mileage too, has good pick up, would you like to test ride?" and i firmly replied "No, I want Stunner" and he said "which color". I said "Red". They said "Red has a waiting period of one month, take yellow you'll get it in 3 days or from April 1 prices are rising" and i looked at mom. She said firmly "no yellow, only red, we can wait".
