    YAMAHA SZR (63000 RS)

Well, if your budget is around a lakh then buy yourself a R15, ride it in uncle mode, you will get 45+ mileage for sure!

R15 costs 1.35 lakh here onroad + it has high maintenance + It's a very small engine for a very big body + full of plastic fibre (1 crash = burning 1.35 lakh notes) = not my cup of tea!

Eh? 1.35 lakh? that's crazy!its costs around 1.04 here if I am right.

well all full-faired bikes fairing's are made up of plastic material.Dont expect them to be a tank!

It gives out 17PS at 8,500 rpm.
not bad for a 150cc engine.

Stunner? let me tell you, after getting the stunner you will crave for more power. Its quite underpowered my friend.
Takes ages to do the 80-100 dash, ive ridden it.
Top speed equal to Pulsar 150?? who told you this Gibberish?
                Its NOT a Value-for-money proposition.
BTW which stunner are you thinking of, FI or Carb version? Go for the FI even its more expensive, bcoz its more fuel efficient and has taller gearing so better performance! Also the carb version has massive cold start problems, FI will start in one click on the chilliest of mornings!!

I won't be craving for power! I'm an enthusiast

And then Stock is for suckers (NFS UG2 dialogue)

After the run-in i'll install NGK Iridium Spark Plugs and after the warranty i'll learn jetting the carburetter, install K&N Performance air filter and re-jet the carb appropriately. This'll increase the performance and mileage and then i'll take few guru advices and make some more mods add some extra horses

Plonking in NGK spark plugs is NOT going to increase performance. Well K&N will not make much of a difference on a stock engine AND it reduces fuel economy, unless you run it lean which will ruin the engine. Also A K & N filter takes in much more shit than stock filter. I know this thru practical experience i have used a K & N on the unicorn for 1 and 1/2 years.
Well, about the other mods ask "joel" from Bangalore if a stunner engine has the potential. If he says yes and he is ready to work on it himself, then u can make your bike go Fast!!

R15 is the best machine in India which money can buy,i wonder if u have the budget of 1L then why don't you buy R15.Its a tech marvel from Yamaha.
All your assumption about R15 is purely utter non-sense(Just like a typical Indian customer who thinks why to buy a 150cc for 1L,but a biker know why it is priced much more than other than 150cc bikes)Go for R15,u wont regret

                          Well thanks buddy bro :-)

Could you please refer me to him? So that i can take expert advice? But personally i love Honda and i love Stunner (apple of my eyes).

I don't want my bike to be fast everyday. Just on race days. I challenged my neighbour today who's going to buy a Karizma R parallely that i would defeat him in a race after engine run in (he was making fun of stunner and i got pissed so i challenged him) and now i'm thinking how?! There's a difference of 1.4 seconds between Stunner's and Karizma's 0-60 and Karizma's top speed is 10 km more (all stock - company claimed).

And about the K&N air filter, all biking sites, gurus say that after installing K&N, the carb must be tuned appropriately (fuel jet increased to restore 1:14 ratio), since now the engine gets more air and the mixture is lean and if it's tuned appropriately then it increases the Horsepower, Torque and Mileage (thanks to better combustion due to more air) but won't give the coughing growl that it is known to, atleast not as much, if tuned properly.

You got it right, no way i'm gonna blow 1.35 lac on a 150cc. Max budget is 75K and never cross budget is 80K for a 150cc.

well the bike with FI(fuel injection) don't need these because its automatically control the fuel and air mixture if i am not wrong and stunner have FI version also
