hey why don't you go for honda CB unicorn dazzler 150cc machine the cheapest 150 cc performance bike and see what you getting semi digital console, dual disk brake, mono shocker, 14 bhp power only less than against R15 in 150CC categories, and many more feature and reliable engine from honda with the price tag in your city around Ex-Showroom Rs. 66,075 On-Road Rs. 76,230* so its some thing better deal against stunner 125 ccc less than stunner pgfi Ex-Showroom

But for this, 2 conditions must be satisfied:-->

      1. The Fi must have a O2 sensor installed in the exhaust setup, so that it detects and corrects Air Fuel Ratio as per the environment, and the air inflow.
Most of the indian bikes don't have it. R15 does not have it. Karizma ZMR does!

      2. Even if it has an O2 sensor, in case of extreme air flow to the engine like after installing a K&N, it should be able to adjust fuel flow to match AFR accordingly.
I said so because, in some bikes, it just pops up an engine malfunction light on the dash, when air flow is beyond a certain limit.

In other words, K&N is not so feasible. I installed one sometime back in my P180, its doing fine, but its running a little rich on a 125 size jet. The engine remains stone cold despite a 1 km run around the city. Performance is ok-ok (slightly better than stock).
Now, I'll get its CO2 adjusted slightly.

@ The Lone Rider: For your situation, I suggest the all new Hunk. It comes with digi speedo, and you might use the 14.4 PS too, maximum in the 150cc category (except R15) along with acceptable mileage and Hero Honda engine life.
Shifting gears at the right rpm's, you might win the drag against Karizma, if the other guy's a noob and can't shift quickly.
But again, Honda Uni-Dazzler is better for its longer gearing.

Well personally i've never liked Hunk! I still don't for the way it looks! No offence, but that bike is not neat, it's overdressed.

But then i did give the upgraded version a thought! Could you tell me it's mileage figures? And it's top speed is less than 110 i heard.

          HI,

you can't have everything, good looks, hardcore performance and mileage as well, you will have to let go of one of the factors for the other. Apache 160 RTR is an amazing bike but i am not too sure about the after sales service...

Dazzler will give you an over all decent performance, but then again looks are subjective.

If you prefer touring as an option then definitely ZMR or ZMA... they have proven to be one of the best touring ride options and for a 200+cc bike 36-45 kmpl is a very decent figure.

If you want hardcore straightline speed stint then nothing like having a Pulsar 220... Plus you can always enhance the performance if certain bits and peformance parts are source out from our very own mod god Joel...

please do test ride any of the bikes you short list and then take a call. every bike would sing a different tune when ridden... take the one that syncs with yours.. otherwise it would remain an endless cycle for you.

          Cheers

I don't think that is correct. The Pulsar 150 produces more power than the Hunk. I think it is 15 bhp.

@The_Lone_Rider. I have just read your first post and found "No Compromise".

So my suggestion : You should go with 125cc or 150cc from Honda/Yamaha

Note : 1) You have to compromise one to get the other, however you can have a balance of all features.
              2) What difference will it make, if you mod an under 250cc bike?? Negligible!!

FYI,the apache 160 produces 15.2 bhp of power, which is the second to R15 in terms of power!!

He said 150cc bikes, not 160cc...

Of course the Apache RTR 160 produces more power than the 150cc bikes (barring R15)

15.2 Bhp is not the same as 15.2 Ps.

                      15.2 Ps = 14.992063544 Bhp

                        • Okay folks i've decided:-

Honda CBF-125 (Stunner) is my final decision.

I paid a visit to Honda showroom yesterday alone, they treated me and spoke to me well (they didn't treat me like a kid/joke, as any showroom staff normally would, they took me seriously responded well) and enlightened me about the prices. I think they'd even give me a test ride but i didn't ask for it since there was road work going on and was fully swarmed by vehicles and traffic cops and cops (all these are preparations for World Kannada Conference to be held soon)

Twister:- 61K (never considered it coz i consider it a stuntman's, but just for knowledge)
                          Stunner:- 67K
Dazzler: 80K (took a close look but, looks didn't appeal to me except the rear)

                          All prices on road.

I'll book Stunner tomorrow. Booking price is 1k and 1 month waiting. Dazzler was on the spot delivery (no takers i guess) but booking if you needed a specific color.

                          Two wheels move a SOUL...

                          • Here's the twist:-

Me and my mom had been to Honda Showroom today.

On the way i showed her some stunners but she didn't like any of them.

And when we reached the showroom, it was closed (Showroom timings 10am to 5pm and Sunday holiday)

I was very angry, didn't speak to her for getting there late for 4 hours. I had not had any food since morning, and she came and told me "Khana lagakar deti hu, tu mujhe bike ke models dikha, dekhungi kaunsa accha hai" and then i said alright , showed her all the bikes from Honda, Hero Honda, Bajaj, TVS, Yamaha. And she liked none of them

Then she said "Mujhe Royal Enfield pasand hai, Woh Royal Enfield ka koi low seat wala bike aata hai na woh dikhao" (i guessed it was thunderbird) and then i showed her that

She said "silver color me dkhao ye" i complied

And then she told "Ye dilana chahti hu, pasand hai ke nai? Par isko kabhi bechna nahi zindagi mey"

And i got so many different feelings at a time, i was happy, shocked and confused and said "Maa! Ispar mai koi nakhre nahi kar sakta! Merko Gym jaakar body build karna padhega, aur khud ki mehnat se thoda paisa bhi kamana padhe usko petrol dalne ke liye aur maintain karneke liye"

She said "toh karo na? par uske saath jo izzath milta hai woh kisi aur bike ke saath nahi milta"

I said "iska 10 month waiting period hai"

She said "Toh kya? 1 mahine me stunner ke paise jama karna aur 10 mahine me Royal Enfield ke paise jama karna dono ek hi baath hai" and she was like - "Don't waste hard earned money on some MELA BIKE, Buy something worthwhile"

And i was like "Maa mai us bike par race nahi kar paunga, wheelie/stoppie ya koi stunt nahi kar paunga, bohat heavy gaddi hai, city me yaha waha entry nahi maarsakunga"

She said "Ye sab karne ke liye mai bike nahi dila rahi, I'm getting it coz it's your necessity"

And with a not so firm voice i said "Theek hai maa, lekin tab tak mujhe ek cycle toh dilado, ghoomne ke liye kuch bhi nahi"

She said "theek hai, aur chal kal ya parso RE showroom jayenge, Book karke ayenge"
                            Four wheels move a BODY,
                            Two wheels move a SOUL...

                                Nice twist.

IMO, i would say to go with your mummy's decision.
                                She is utmost right.
If you can buy RE, go for it.

You said that you want to do racing and stunts. Now i guess, you do these along with your friends.
So you can do all stunts on your friends bike or afterwards when you purchase your second bike.

6-7 months of gym will make you true hunk

                                Although opinion is yours.
