The OP has gone for R15 then why there is a long discussion err, fight.
Agreed, P220 is the big daddy of all Indian(in this case a certain Jap too) bikes along with P200, P180 UG 1 2 3 4, P150 UG 1 2 3 4 5 6, P135 4V,6V and infinite valves. Did i miss any of the pulsar line ups ?

Ok I have 100% decided to go for the used R15, only has 1350km on the odo and is in mint condition, should complete the sale in around a week, i'm waiting for my 2 wheeler endorsement to come through from Bombay, will have it by the weekend, then the "fun" of registering the bike will begin (Just love those RTO guys, feel like giving them a TIP).
A special thanks to Chinmayakar, for informing me about the P220, I almost went for the P220 buddy!
In the end, it was only down to one thing, how I felt riding either bike, I felt more at home on the Yamaha, guess it just suited me better, in the end they are both great bikes and both can be given the Joel touch, so my conclusion is that either bike is good enough and fairly equal in comparison, both have their attributes, which makes them a great choice in this segment and the ability to go way beyond their stock condition makes them both very appealing.
Thanks to all have given their views and advice, will update once I pick up the ride.......
Cheers,
StefanBeware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

But i would like you to look at it from this perspective as well. Your options of enhancing the R15's capabilities at various stages thanks to mod god JOEL in the later months will always make sure that you will never get bored of your ride.
Joel has also come up with performance exhaust for 220 but thats about it for the time being.
Please do not comment if you do not have the facts. I have got my bike moded from Joel and theres lot more than FFE. My bike will be moded again on 15th Feb to make it faster than the Ninja.
Also lets not talk about 220's reliability as i have 2 p220's Fi and the carb and both of them are doing exceptionally well after more than 3 years on the FI and 2 years on the carb.
Why i own 2 bikes of the same bike thats entirely my concern.
Lets not make this community into another Orkut community
Erm bro i was talking pro Joel in this perspective. Kindly read my previous post carefully again..
cheersA quote by a toilet, " use me well, keep me clean, i would never tell anybody whatever i have seen.." :P
