I do agree the vibrations exist, but in the 2012 models... they are close to non existent, engine is far more refined...

@Mileage, there are RTR owners who claim a mileage of 45~.... there are lots of them, so i suggest you atleast check the RTR 180 ownership page before commenting.
I have not ridden the 2012 RTR. But in the mileage part 180 doesn't give more than 40. two of my friends have 180 and they maintain it well both of the bike is giving FE below 40.

My 35K km old RTR returns around 40-42 kmpl.... My friend's 30K P180 returns around 42-44 kmpl.... I am a serious ripper and he is a very sane biker...

Interesting topic!Which one p180 or A180 will be better for buying second hand?I mean which one takes up more thrashing?

the apache rtr 180 and the pulsar 180

            i travel 15-20 kms everyday
rare tourer. About max 150-150 kms(up and down) in a year.(i do love touring. Maybe someday i will go further.)

            My Queries on Apache 180

            Vibration

1>>>>How bad is it? Rode the hyperedge at 70kmph....didn't feel any vibes
2>>>>Heard the vibrations start at mid 60s and ends at mid 70s. Also heard another theory that the vibe starts at mid 60s and doesn't end. Which is true?
3>>>>how good of a touring bike is it?(i don't go above 100 kmph. So is the bike smooth till then?)

            Mileage
1>>> i need atleast 45kmpl in the city

            VFM
Is this worth buying when i have to compromise on non-smoothness and lesser mileage?

            on pulsar 180
1>>>is the pickup as good as the rtr. How much of a difference is there between these two bikes with respect to acceleration?
2>>>Whenever there is a comparision reviews between 200+ccs, apache 180 is also included but never the pulsar 180...why? Is the apache 180 that good or is the pulsar 180 that bad?

Are there any other bikes in the 180 segment?
Mileage : p180 has better mileage than rtr
Handling : RTR is better in Handling
Cornering : RTR is far better in cornering.
Smooth : P180 has very smooth Engine, no vibration even in high speeds.
Riding Posture: P180 has very comfortable riding position, RTR
has very sporty riding posture but tall guys are complaining
            about Back pain
Built Quality : Both are Similar
Meter console : RTR has the facility to store 3 highest speeds, and 0-60
            timings

RTR is compared with other 200 +cc bikes because of the comparable handling and cornering ability, p180 is not compared because bajaj has 200 +cc bikes.
u decide keeping all these in mind

If you are concidering apache 180 then add p220 in list then p180...

              & decide among both ..... that's it... no P180

@Thread Starter The bit in bold is the exact same price that 200NS is selling for.

Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Nope, the difference between RTR ABS and P200NS is >5 K..every where.
The city where RTR sells at 94K,P200NS would cost around 99 K OTR .
In Bhubaneshwar,RTR-ABS sells at 89.5K and P200NS is around 95K OTR.

                        Why not consider fz?
                        It gives lesser mileage. :-P
                        It's a pure city bike*
Handles and corners better than the other two.
                        Smashing looks.
                        As comfortable as p180.
Higher built quality compared to the other two.
                        Refined engine, Yamaha reliability.
Brakes really well. Also that fat tyres gives good stability while crawling through traffic.
I know for some reason you don't wanna buy this bike but take a test ride along with the other two.

1.05lac is the price the dealers are illegally charging.

If RTR180n P180 is in your mind then i guess if it's ABS then RTR only else P180 nice bike!!

if you think of P220 then NS200 is the more logical bike today for P220!!
